in need new compiling Post #28854
For RAD: -sparse uses only about 10% of the RAM but uses more CPU time.

FOR ALL:

-low

Setting the priority of the compile tools to -low is very handy, as you can multitask and do other things without really feeling the drain of the compile programs on the system, provided there is enough memory for the tools and the other programs you use.

-high

Uses all available memory to compile the map. Maps take a shorter time to complete compiling and are generally better off for it.

Don't save your map where you have been. Put it somewhere nice and easy like c:maps; the "@" confuses the compile tools. You should definitely get and use Zoner's Compile Tools as they are many years newer.

To show textures in the 3D mode, click the title of the viewport and choose "3D Textured".

Getting the WADs? Use GCFScape and look in SteamSteamAppshalf-life.gcf. The GCF is kinda like a ZIP archive, and the WADs are in /valve.

Thanks for registering :)
Hope I helped.

You could put, as Rileymo said, trigger_multiples targetting multimanagers. Then set a certain camera near to the trigger_m on, and all the others off. Be very time-consuming for a whole mod.

When formatting a floppy diskette users have the option of creating a MS-DOS startup disk, follow the below steps to do this.

1. Place diskette in the computer.

2. Open My Computer and right click the A: drive and click Format.

3. In the Format window check Create an MS-DOS startup disk.

4. Click Start

No, it's not that. ZHLT automatically includes its WAD into all maps you make and it's not an issue, nor should you include WADs like halflife.wad.
