That's interesting mathematics. Sounds like something outta Hitchiker's Guide to me.

You need to target the script, not the monster.

Ive done it!!
What i did was i named the script z and then named the target field z too so it would keep targeting itself, thus repeating. But i havent fully tested it yet, i'll see if any problems arise.

Uh, since you're playing using Steam, the BSP (the finished, compiled map) should go in:

Steamsteamappsyour@email.comcounter-strikecstrikemaps

NOT into c:sierraetc.

Also, read the tutorials on this site, there're some excellent beginner ones and even two CS ones.

For the "screen thingy" you'd need coding.

Fairly easy to replace models so long as you know how to model. Check out MilkShape, it comes with a tutorial too.

This always happens the first time you run a map; it's just Half-Life connecting up all the nodes.

The hear one? Just that a lot of those triggers don't actually work. Try another or use a trigger_once to target the monster at a good point.

As Andy himself hath writ:
If you have read the hints and tips at various other sites you will know that carving is a mortal sin. The idea is that you should construct each brush individually. This makes sense, especially when you are dealing with more intricate work. But today we are going to carve... just remember to carve sparingly later on, and only when you are making holes in solid blocks. Carving cylinders can lead to all sorts of problems.

The delay thing was probably only for the button - you need to set it for the door itself.

Those game_*s are for names of things:
Special Entity Names

As of Half-Life version 1.0.0.9, there are a few special names that can be given to entities, that will activate those entities in specific circumstances.

They are:
game_playerdie
game_playerkill
game_playerjoin
game_playerspawn
game_playerleave

For example, an entity with a name (targetname) of game_playerdie will be triggered whenever a player dies (and will be triggered by that player).

If you've downloaded it:

1. Run it
2. File -> Open
3. Find your Steam directory, then go to SteamApps
4. Double-click "half-life.gcf"
5. In the folder pane on the left, click "valve"
6. Look in the right hand pane. Locate "halflife.wad" and right click on it, then choose Extract.

7. Repeat #6 as necessary with different files.
