Yeah, a few lights throwing themselves on the floor would be nice. Maby a grating or something like that to break up the monotony would be nice too. Off course, your still working on it so goodluck!:)

Not too impressed, this technique is already quite old. And i dont think the model in the video looks that good, i very much prefer tweaking the shapes so that it looks realistic. More a gimmick as Strider said.

It looks pretty normal to me, i find it rather nice to work with C++. Mostly because the syntax in AS3 looks very similar.

pepper: Find me a hobbyist who owns multiple copies of each tool, as well as multiple workshops to get his models done faster.
I can find you a dozen. I mean, i own serval soldering irons, i could get around with one yes, but certain jobs would take longer, or would be harder to complete.

As satchmo mentioned, he doesnt hurt anyone. And i got hobby's im willing to spend just as much money on, does that make me worse then him? No it doesnt, as long as people are not hurting anyone else then you should just let em be.

Isnt that a bit judgemental, your basicly saying that every single person that plays WoW is a waste of life. Which isnt really a realistic view.

What I meant was the massive amount of hardware involved, not to mention all that cash needed to pay to keep this going. Surely you don't find this normal.
I can assure, that i have seen and used hardware combinations that had more money and hours spend on them then this set-up so no, im not really amazed.

edit: I mean, look at it this way, if he would be spending 24/h a day playing this game then he wouldnt be able to afford such a set-up, nor would it look pretty decent, cleaning must take quite some time.

It's not that strange, nothing says he spends 10 hours a day playing. If you find this strange then go look up some flightsim enthusiasts, there willing to spend the same amount on building a cockpit.

You also got a few extensions for python that allow you to make a interface the same way the visual studio series does. although it can be quite tedious finding the right modules to work the the programs.

I think the 2.0 net version is most widely distributed. Although 3.5 is the most recent if my memory serves me right.

True, diving into a project and really needing to learn something is much better then getting the knowledge merely from books, most of the times you will forget it anyway, and you remember the solutions you used for your own projects.

@Doodle, area 51 is an airfield know as Groom Lake AFB, located in Groom Lake, which is a no-fly area for all non-military flights. Entering this means getting shot down by a F-16. I got a official map of the area.

On another note, a certain molecule that is believed to be responsible, if not an important part of life has been found in intergalactic clouds.

Tito, its most likely that that was a weather balloon with dummy's for a drop test. Your bringing it like its evidence. And if you can tame the dangers of space, then no human build weapon is going to shoot down your spaceship. I dont know where people get the arrogance to think that.

Yes it could be there visiting it, although i find it a bit of a piss poor performance if you can manage to hike your way along the universe, unseen enter the atmosphere, and stay undetected for radar, but still crash. Heck, i doubt that any alien species would try to make contact with humans first anyway, the dolphins and whales would be a move advanced species when looking at it.

Skals: Dark matter bombs? Get real.

Life on other planets is likely to exist in our very own solar system, few moons and planets might already host extremofile life forms.

Doesnt a blackhole need a certain minimum amount of mass to have any chance of life? i Doubt there's enough mass/matter on earth for it to be able to exist.

This machine could unravel new parts of the mystery of life and might help us knowing were we came from. Lets hope they find something smaller then quarks!

I believe they named them to the alphabet, starting with an A, then a name with a B etc. So Gustav would be 7th hurricane in that area.

best moment:

Playing with my clan BF2 on Gulf of Oman the 64 sized map. I was an MEC guy and 3 others of my clan where the USA. They were capturing a position(fishing village, most western CP) whilst i had dropped bombs there, no damage, but they shot me down, i parachuted out of the plane, and they lost sight of me, i got right in front of the Abrahams tank and dropped to the ground. I shot the 2 infantry guys running around there, and then used my AT rockets to blow up the tank, you can imagine that they were a tad bit pissed that one AT guy prevented the capture of a point. Offcourse, i was rather lucky..

The eye can view up to 72 frames to the center, and a tad bit faster through the sides(rods cone thingy). A high framerate in twitch games IS important, not because of what we see, but because of how the engine updates, one update cycle lasts one frame, so a game will update player positions, hit detection etc, slower then if it runs on 100 or 200 frames.
