Well, I never flamed or spammed anyone. Just argued, usually not so intensely.
Calling people stupid, idiot, jackass, and any other insults are considered flaming. You don't do it all the time, but I don't think anyone can truthfully say that they've never spammed or flamed.

EDIT: @ NineTnine: I think this (these) threads will be good for TWHL, especially if ant is going to ignore us until TWHL3.

@ point 1: If you mean ignore all the people who are ruining this place right now, then no, I'm not going to do that.
I don't think he was trying to say that, per-se. And even if he was, he still has something of a point. Flaming and spamming are no way to deal with people, it's like going to mayor's office and screaming at him for building a wal-mart in your small rural town, if anything it'll just piss him off.

This might have been good, were it not for members like dave.
Come now, you can't hate him so much that you think he's the source of all our problems? Use your brain, Hunter.

I think the moderators need to crack down a little, right now it's almost pointless to have them. Honestly, I can think of many members who would have had temporary or permanent suspensions if moderators noticed the fact that we actually do have spamming and flaming rules.

TWHL would be better place for it, trust me.

Hunter, you're a god damned hypocrite.

I must say that I agree with Dave on the first point, sometimes people are just asking for a put down of some kind, but most TWHLers would do well to act a little more civil.

As for the second point, I agree with urb. TWHL isn't the place to be if you want maps from the pros, though not with saying you should go to MODDB for good maps or good mappers. MODDB is a modding site, not a mapping site. Therefore you won't find HL2 DM levels, or CS:S levels, or short HL2 SP levels on MODDB.

And as for the third point, having a permanent thread is a bad idea. Some people just need to stop hijacking threads pointlessly with 4chan memes and other pointless crap.

1: Ghetto could mature a little, I agree with you there

2: As strider said, Dave hasn't really done anything wrong, acting like a fool is not a bannable offense on it's own.

3: NineTnine really isn't that bad, I think we could all learn to tolerate him if we tried. Then again, what are the odds of that around here?

We tried not to force our opinions, but when you guys came across calling us fools, we couldn't call ourselves men if we would let it slide by unchallenged.
Just look at the first page, Doc. Playbus challenged Jazel's opinion and Jahzel's response was to call him a bootlicker. So tell me, was he only trying to present his opinion or force it? Standing up to criticism makes you more of a man than insulting those who challenge you.
We had to defend our opinions. Because we cared. Because we wanted you to see what we had seen.
Once again, insulting people is not the best way to defend an opinion.
But you ignored it and said there was no way it could be true.
In the words of several people:
...In principle, I actually agree with you on much of what you say about the state of the world.
My post wasn't to say that your theories are totally wrong...
I'm not saying any of your theories or world views are downright wrong...
I don't disagree with your views...
I don't necessarily believe in what the government feeds us...
And last of all I'd like to point out how ironic your post is. You say we unjustly called you fools, but when we merely disagreed with you you wrote a three paragraph speech calling us fools. You say we ignored what you said, but when we try to refute you practically word for word you don't listen.
Please, stop acting so damn victimized. We're only being skeptical, which is what you encouraged us to do all along, right?

I'm working on a mini-mod called "Binding Energy" at the moment. In the mod you will play as Gordon Freeman sent to put a series of combine outposts out of commission.
So far I plan to have four maps and some custom sounds to move the story along, it could get bigger or smaller depending on how lazy I get.

If you want to keep your head stuck in the sand, that's your choice.
My post wasn't to say that your theories are totally wrong, that's just how arguments go when you and Jazel are in them.

You know, Jahzel is only trying to help. That's all. He's someone in the crowd who is shouting: "HEY LOOK OUT, THERE'S A CAR COMING TOWARDS US OUT OF CONTROL! IT'S GOING TO HIT US IF WE DON'T WATCH OUT!"
And at this point the crowd starts debating whether or not the car even exists, Jazel cites some obscure news sites, yells out some propaganda about American rights, and everyone gets rather huffy about everything. As all this happens the imagined "car" is still crawling towards them. Eventually everyone but Jazel gets hungry or bored and goes off to find some snacks, no side having proven anything.

In other words, your analogy stinks. :P

Look. If I believe in one conspiracy theory, I have to believe all of them...
By that logic, if you believe that the US government had something to do with 9/11, then you must also believe the Apollo Moon-Landing Hoax Theory, the New World Order conspiracy, the Jewish or Zionist global domination conspiracy theories, and the Paul is Dead conspiracy .

why is it so bad to wax a ledge and skate it? destroying public/private property you say? what about all the land they destroyed building it on
I think the reason anti-skating laws were invented is because it puts the people around the skaters at risk. Boards flying (or rolling or whatever) off and hitting someone, people bailing into someone, skating into someone. My advice to any city with a skating problem: Build a nice skate park. It helped loads where I live.

But under the Prosser revision of 1923 you can't eat the burger on account of the conditional Cobble Road Bonus, and the fact that you've eaten far too much as it is.
