Yeah, you won't need more than 15mb of textures every day, that'll get you 10-20 1024x1024+ textures.

Suture is kind of like the Grumpy cat, he just wants to see the world burn, that's all :D

His ideal country is one where everyone gets to walk around with guns strapped to their belts, ready to pull on anyone who may pull on them first, kinda like the wild west I guess.

Here's a thought! Maybe you should go live in Zimbabwe or one of those countries.
I mean loads of people may try to kill you, but at least you'll have an AK47 to defend yourself, right? What more could you ask for? xD

The only site I know CGTextures is very disappointing.
The hell are you talking about? CGTextures is amazing, the most useful place for making textures. It's got thousands of different materials, and everything is well organised. What more could you ask for?

I also would argue that we should arm teachers (if they go through training.) More lives are saved if these people can get the shooter first rather than waiting for the police to show up. Besides, taking away guns from normal people is entirely stupid because what people do not get is that criminals are criminals and they will get their hands on weapons illegal or not. All this does is take away weapons normal people could use to defend themselves.
Yes, because giving everyone more guns will stop shootings!

Seems bullshit to me, how a country that exalts it's freedom is stripping rights away from it's citizens.
I want to visit or live in the US, namely Washington or California. But I'm afraid of going there due to laws such as this, and many other things like the allowance of guns and so on.

Everyone should participate, rufee you too! We haven't had a proper competition with many entries for quite some time, and it seems that a lot of people are interested this time around.
Even if you think you can't win the competition, it's good practice. Back when I was crap I used to compete every time. I lost all of them, but I kept getting better and better and eventually won a competition :D.

Trempler that's very nice, I'm loving the way you use those Egypt textures :)

...and thanks Grim! I need some practice in the Source engine, so I'm going to create an episode 2 map.
I'm either going to create a floating combine fortress, or a fantasy styled floating dungeon with gothic architectural style, something similar to Trempler I guess.

Grim I've got a question,
Your task is to create a map located on a floating chunk of land. You can make anything as long as the map is suspended in mid-air.
Does the map literally need a piece of land inside it, or can it be a structure floating in air? I mean it wouldn't be an island if it had no land on it, so I want to know if I need to include land into it, or if I can simply make a floating structure without adding the land.

The Apache turned out a lot better than I expected, It's all thanks to my great tutor in my 3D modelling module in Uni, and my college tutors for getting me started.
The model was made in Maya, textured with Photoshop and crazybump, and imported into UDK.
From now on I'm going to be making Source and Unreal Editor levels with only custom made content, I'd already released this: http://gamebanana.com/csgo/maps/168954
Which had a lot of custom textures by me, but In the future it's only custom. Maybe if there's a gamebanana mapping competition I'd participate in it.

My next level is going to be a Gothic Cathedral, here's a WIP: (Maya)

But for the broken floor, you should add displacements otherwise it doesn't look right, and you should replace that piece of metal on the bottom left with a model, because it looks too well cut, just like the floor.

Because all of Source models were made with Maya, and Valve recommends Maya, so I would assume that Maya was more compatible with Source. That and it's easier to use. I modelled in 3DS Max for 2 years, started using Maya just now and I think it's so much easier to use, and faster too.

in inactivate button? Post #310820
Salmon, did you try multisources with masters? Check out a tutorial on them. What multisource does is it lets you enable or disable a button or any other trigger or triggerable entity for that matter, when certain conditions are met.
Here's an example of how it works: You put the master value of a door to that one multisource, and you set an entity to target the multisource. The multisource will be off at default, and the door will not function because the multisource is off. But once that entity that targets the multisource has been activated, the multisource will turn on, and the door will also turn on and start working... and you can make the multisource have multiple inputs and it will only be on once they all are active.

So you need to use your head here, you have four floors, four buttons in elevator, plus one for each floor, so 8.

What you can try doing, (this is just me thinking of ideas), Is give all the buttons the same master value, linking to your one multisource. and then whenever a button is triggered, make that button move the elevator PLUS run a little multi_manager sequence that turns the multisource off, and then on. The triggering of multisource would have to be done by the same trigger, otherwise the multisource would be waiting for multiple inputs. You can make each button trigger the same multimanager event I guess.

I hope you understand what I just wrote, I mean it seems clearly fine to me, but untill you mess around with these things you might not know what I'm talking about xD

Yeah Zeeba, like I said, you're getting way ahead of yourself. There wont be a lot of people that would play a GS mod, maximum a thousand that find it on moddb I'd say, if we get it on steam greenlight like captain said, maybe more than a thousand. But nobody will pay for it, and it would be illegal for us to sell it, so scrap the idea of making money on it.
We can however, do this as a project to build experience for further projects, where we do actually make something.
