Depends on motherboard. On my motherboard, unless I am running in native SATA mode, I can only use one IDE channel, while the other channel is reserved for SATA. But I use my onboard Si SATA controller, which my Linux kernel supports, so I have never needed to run in that mode. And Ant, I think you will find that Knoppix's interface is the KDE desktop running on an Xfree86 server
It is not unique to the distribution, most distros come with a version of KDE. And Ant, if you have any Linux Q's, just either talk to me on MSN, email me, post in these forums, post in my forums, or post on my shoutbox. MSN might be impossible at the moment since I can't sign in at all.
