Yes, we do have hammer tutorials, but not source tutorials. I want tutorials for HL2, HL2DM, and CS:S mapping. I mainly want HL2 mapping, though.

I know there was a forum post for tutorials other people know, but those have very limmeted amount of tutorials on them.

In dm_lockdown I found the antlions holes, but there are way too many entities in the area that I cant tell what I should copy.

I did try the start inactive flag and I tried it in combonation with the other flags as well, but it still will shoot the player.

What should the file type be?
Hammer only can see 3 types of files:
.vmf
.???
.map

I am going to try naming it one of them, but I just want you to tell me so this is something I can reference to later.

I have the hl2 SDK hammer - I think the newest one - and it has an entitie called env_golobal.

All entities are in alphabetical order.

There is not a team property or a friendly property in the turret.
It is not in env_global either.

Yes, I did make them one entitie. It is when the game is running when there pieces don't fit and makes the game mess up with physics.

That is why I need a simple lego design that is easy to stack and build.

Whenever I save a prefab I have made hammer comes up with an error. The prefab still gets saved, but it is annoying to have to restart hammer every time I want to save a prefab.

I can't just put the entitie in the model name.
When I save a prefab, it makes a map and puts the prefab in it, just like the examples that come with the SDK.

I was trying to get my mods to work, but none of them worked. I deleted the folders, but in the Steam SDK menu the old mods are there still even though I had deleted them.
I tried logging out and back in on steam but that did nothing.

With the HL2 SDK, there is a thing that helps us make mods. It asks for a directory and what the name is, and I dont understand why there are 2 seperate folders instead of one.
1) Where do I put the mod folders when it asks me to?

There is no map folder or anything.
2) Where would my maps go?

3) Do I need to compile all of the source that is in the folders, or do I just leave them alone?
