Turning a site with still-uncovered bodies into a tourist attraction? It seems fairly disrespectful to me as well. I only hope that a good portion of the funds are used as compensation for relatives of the dead there.

Also, an unarmed public is just asking for a corrupt government to walk all over them.
You say that, but when a government does start getting corrupt, the public very rarely has little weapons. If history has taught me one thing, countries have a tendency to be flooded with weapons when a revolution occurs.

I think the educational system did me well, but I think it's all about expectations. Generally speaking, American parents expect very little from their children. It's no wonder why these children don't amount to anything when they grow up.
That's true. I probably only did as well as I did because my uncle, an engineer, said that study was vital and slaved me over it.

That doesn't make sense. If someone had been armed on those planes, then they probably would not have been successfully hijacked. That's why they have air marshals now and why pilots are allowed to keep a sidearm in the cockpit.
Thats exactly my point. You can't use situations where citizens wouldn't have firearms (such as a Hotel) in order to prove a point. Also, you say airliners have air marshals and armed pilots now right? I don't doubt that the Hotels and other locations in India will have tighened security now. This is what I meant by my previous analogy.

India has a strict gun ban law, but that sure didn't stop a small group of terrorists from killing 179 people - basically unarmed sitting ducks. So yes, lets give up any ability of defending ourselves for a false sense of security.
By your analogy, the people on the planes used in 9/11 should've fended off the hijackers too, but they couldn't because they had no weapons. So much for owning a gun.

Hotels, Planes and other situations where firearms, legal or not, are forbidden can hardly be used as a good way to prove a point on gun ownership.

They got they're weapons in another country, so you can't really apply that case. Neither can you argue that the unarmed citizens would be able to do anything if they owned guns. I've never heard of anyone who takes their guns to Hotels with them.

Guns can be good for the home, assuming you get to them before the Burglar gets you, but you seriously can't apply your analogy to everywhere, because nobody, not even Rednecks, take their guns everywhere.

Why does everyone either think Halo is the best game ever or absolute shit? It's a mediocre game.
Its absolute shit becuase the story is like one big orgy of cliches. The multiplayer might've actually been really fun to play (and some of the times I did it was fun) but unfortunately its flooded with pimply teens and screaming 12 year olds.

Its better for it to be called "My first FPS".

This is one of those questions in which it's beauty lies in having no answer. This question relies solely on belief. You either believe it or you don't.

As for Christmas, well.... The only thing I like about it is the presents. Otherwise, I hate it. Spending a ton of money, going through nasty Christmas weather, being forcefully couped up with some family members that I despise with all my heart (Luckily that won't be happening this year, as they're all on a different continent), cleaning up afterwards, suffering from bouts of sickness from eating/drinking too much crap. The list goes on and on.

I don't find this article suprising. They did badly on their first year (with outrageous pricing) and I'm not surprised this year that they aren't pushing many units off the shelves.

I would suspect that the gaming websites in question may have biased figures, or inaccurate ones. Proper media networks usually do their homework when it comes to the business world.

Ah well. Better luck next time Sony.

So yeah, judging a competition is hard-work.
Actually, the reason they're taking so long is because they haven't actually started yet. Life can be a bitch like that sometimes.

Or it sounds like it from their reasons for not judging.

I remember the insaneness of Facepunch Studios. A gaming magazine wrote an article once on Gmod, and, as a challenge, said that people should try to avoid being banned once on its forums for a month.

Neddless to say, I and my friends failed that task tremendously. I got banned in 4 hours.
