Nuclear power makes radioactive waste water or something. The only thing we can do is barrel it up and haul it to a bunker where it will sit for the forever. They radioactivity doesn't go away anytime soon, and could take a couple thousand years.

Its ok. Just get rid of the real-world references and com up with new names. But its actually nice that some homework is being done and you can get some ideas or inspiration from real-world landmarks.

The brushwork is better. export a .DXF or whatever from hammer and port it into your modeling software if it takes it. It will give a ton of boxes and brushwork, but you can model around that or boolean mesh it together if you dare.

Also, if you're on non-steam HL, there are transparency DLLs available.
Here's a link just in case.

1) Select an object and click and hold right-click.

2) You get a hotbox of tools and functions, find Convert To and choose Editable Poly.

3) The tool pallette on the side changes and has roll outs of a variety of tools. To use these, you must choose a time of selection. At the top, you should see some squares and dots. If you mouse hover over them, the say Vertex, Edge, Border, Polygon, and Element. Choose Vertex.

4) Select the outer most 2 vertices (the ones you wish to pull down) and move them. You can right click to the hotbox and select the move tool.

5)???

6) Profit.

edit: fuck I guess I need TF2 and Ep2 stuff in order to do it... nevermind then. Still, might want to batch compile those the results to catch up.

My employer and I had a brief discussion about 2012. He made a point that we have enough nukes and weapons to blow up Earth 100 times over. An asteroid will not be a problem.

Ya gotta nuke something, eh?

I'm more worried about the people factor. There is enough idiots out there to cause some serious harm to society. That alone is worth worrying about.

I did some sketching too, not going to post it tho. I designed a basic ship and then stuck a tentacle-y alien ship on the back of it humping the shit out of the engines.

Mission will be like welding shut a lot of the puncture holes that skulks are crawling through and keeping the ship intact while defending.

Chrome must be used on faces belonging to a smoothing group, otherwise you get this shiny-crystal look, and sometimes renders white depending.

Also, if the texture is prefixed with the word chrome, i.e. chromeMYTEXTURELOL it will work. You can also set the chrome flag on in Jed's HL model viewer, which will also turn the chrome on, then save the model as a new version.

"Lost" as in the player is off the map somewhere, either in a ghost-town or in a strange uncharted land. Shipwrecked, teleportation accident, car-trouble, train-wreck, abducted, etc could be possible causes.

Not the show Lost. :P
