Want good AI?
Play F.E.A.R.
I just played the demo and I admit, it's better than HL and HL2 together.
Still like them though. :)

I've seen some movies and it looks kinda sweet.
I noticed a few stupid things though.
For example:
A ship was on fire, so all dudes pon board ran of to land, exept one dude, who walked!
He walked normaly (exept that it looked like he had been shot in the leg)
While the other guys jumped of the ship and then died.
The AI also seems a bit dodgy too (I bet that fire scene was scripted)
As in the old CoD, or in pasific assault, the AI stands up somethimes while experiencing hevy fire.

I'm going to try the demo now. :)

I've been looking for a good guide on the internet for 2 days now!
It's very hard to discribe how to tie a belt though, so most guides are hard to follow.
And I haven't managed to tie the karatebelt yet!

I need to know how to do it fast, be cause else I won't gain a better rank on saturday, my tequnices are god, but my ties sucks.
So please, I beg you, help me!
And if you are swedish, and you know how to tie, please write a guide in swedish, it makes it easier to understand. :)

Thanks for reading!

Tutorial award = If you have written a tutorial.

Forum award = Posted many replies on editing forums (not maps and mods, general discussion or site suggestions)

Mapvault award = Many mapvault comments and/or many maps

Could by done by a counting system, why is it gay? ( :P )
The award is still special to get!
Just set the points to reach high!

You'll gain points for every action you perform here at TWHL, like posting maps, commenting, getting rated, etc. You get the point
I like that idea, it's not childish!
It makes people earn the awards, and not just get them.

in holding buttons Post #145791
When I make switches quick, I simply make a brush, split it in two, and make on half for activate and the other for de-activate.

You could also parent the button to func_door and such, so they move around,, uh, I'll show you.
User posted image
In the front, there is a button, paranted to a func door.
That button ACTIVATES the light (for example), but it also activates the door so it slides up.
When pressing the other button, wich deactivates the light, the door slides down again, and you have access to the actovator again.
Aslo, behind the buttons, the real brush with the switch texture is placed.
Or, you could just put that texture on the deactivator button.
The door and the ACTOVATOR needs to be nodraw of course.

1. Coding
2. Coding
3. trigger_hurt
4. weapon stripe.

2, why coding when there is a map sulotion?

It aint a mod without new code (I say..)
And, mappers for the mod won't have energy to make that entity setup for each player on every map.
So, coding would make it a lot easier.
Those are I believe written in a .txt file with the same name as the map e.g.

dm_lakeside.txt and dm_lakeside.bsp
Yeah, I think so too.

Good news everyone!
Steam sucks again! :D :D

Ok, here's what's happening.
The topic says it all, really.
I can't open source SDK, I can't start a game.
When I try to launch a game, it says "your login ticket is expended, please re-login!"

When I try to run Source SDK, I notice that the updater is stuck at 87%!
And it doesn't move!

It's like it can't reach out, but it can't, I de-activated all security.
Re-started, still, steam acts the same.

What's going on??
Please don't tell me that I have to re-instal this shit again
I got like, 50 games and mods!

Do you know what the problem is?
Please help me!

We're cutting down trees far faster than they grow back. One and one-half acres of rainforest are lost every second.
It's even worse..
In many cases, they never grow back at all.
I read about it in a school book.
By cutting down trees in the rainforrest also makes it harder to grow new ones.

pepper, you're both right an wrong.
What I'm saying is what I know so this is my side of the story and what I have seen and heard and read.

The scientists these days look back at the last ice-age, and they can see what caused it.
By taking tests today, they can see if one is coming.
I bet different things could cause a ice-age.
But, we can see ice-ages coming.

Oh, and the last thing you said, I didn't understand (my english..)
But, do you mean that there have been more ice ages? :S

A friend of mine discovered a site that sells "cats in bottles"
It's awful!
They put cats into bottels, and they put one pipe to feed them through, and an other pipe so they can get the food out again.
Their site almost made me cry.

http://www.bonsaikitten.com

These guys are sick!
Someone has started a "mail chain", if 1000 people write down their names, they will put down the organisation.

I thought maby some of you could type your names here so I can type them into the mail.
So far, they got 533 protesters.
