v.nice Caboose... I love the night one.

Sorry if we all seem a bit negative, but surely you'd rather have our truthful opinions rather than a load of bull**** generic replies. Keep updating and posting in this thread and we can help you out... if you'll let us. :)

Also, you used FrontPage - which is probably where the problems began - the old version is seriously outdated, while the bugs still haven't been ironed out of the newer versions - don't even get me started on 2007! :)

No offence... but a year's work resulting in only IE users being able to use this site correctly... :

Processor ain't that bad! So its a Celeron... but its clocked quite high. Don't worry, with a new GPU ur game fps will improve alot!

Yeah... but GeCube have fit an aftermarket cooler - so improved cooling and reduced volume levels.

Otherwise, just slap a Zalman or AC X2 on it... problem solved

...it was just an idea :)

Btw,

As i said in the first place :P

EDIT: Also, these cards are made to take the heat. For a mid / high end GFX card, 50c isn't unreasonable

Well its not the best, but its good - it really does depend on your budget. Now ain't a good time to get into DX10, overpriced and relatively bad performance, and you need Vista, etc, etc... the list goes on..................

Check out Tom's Hardware GPU guides and charts, it will give you an idea of performance / price and quality.

Clicky!

What country do you live in? ...the UK im gathering by the amazon site

No offence, but the ones you picked out suck quite bad... and won't last very long in todays world. I would recommend spending about 100 - 150 pounds

Something like this would be good:

http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/125754/rb/0

Guranteed to run HL2 excellently and would be capable of Oblivion. Check out ebuyers other AGPs as theses quite a good range

in Video card? uh? Post #227771
Yes, that is indeed an AGP slot. You need an AGP Graphics card then... derr!

Btw, one picture would have done!! :)

EDIT:: how much are you looking at spending? Do you have any fan-boy preferences... ATI / Nvidia? I would think not as you have integrated ATM

in Video card? uh? Post #227728
Yeah, its integrated. Check ur BIOS for your MB manufacture, then google - or depending on how old it is we can probably assume its AGP.

Otherwise, as PB said, just open her up and have a shoofty

in Rising Water... Post #227465
You would have the make the water the size you want it once its risen - I recommend placing it in the correct position first and sizing it accordingly and then moving it down to create the shallow pool effect you already have.

To make it rise, you have to set the property below YAW to 'UP', then set rise speed etc, and trigger its name to start the water rising.

in Elevator breaking something Post #227355
The true effect your after can only really be achieved in Source, in HL you're gonna have to fake it.

The easiest way to do it would be to make the rods func_breakables and then trigger them to break as the lift is about to touch them - this will require a lot of setting up and timing though...

...Otherwise, you could make the rods rotating doors, so that they bent when hit by the lift, although I doubt it would look very good.

looking good.... forgot to 'tie to' barriers? :)

IMO, some of the textures look really lo-res - and stretched. Maybe lower the XY values a bit? Also that bridge doesn't look right - textures don't go with the rest and its blocky.

However, riverbed looks awesome! - As does concrete support pillars against the side. Really HL2'ish! Keep it Up!

I'm currently building a new system / upgrading and am using watercooling. Just wondered if anyone has experiences to share, etc... on the matter and your opinions on parts and what-not.

So far I've ordered / got / planning to get:

3 x SilenX Red Wing 120mm Fans
AlphaCool GT Stealth III Radiator
Danger Den TDX 775 CPU Block
XSPC 250mm Passive Resovoir
Laing D5 12V Pump

...all 1/2" barbs

Your opinions are welcome... I know I'd do better on a OC or WC website but I'm just interested to see who else has taken the plunge (excuse the pun)

:) lol. Nah... I'm not too keen on it, but its definately improved. Atleast you can know actually play the games without going online - those who remember steam in its early days, it was a right bitch to use!

The only reason I got my cracked version of HL2 in the beginning was because my comp wasn't online so i couldn't play legit - but obviously I couldn't get the SDK or play online...

18 Wheels of Steel - just... no. They just keep rushing them

Vivisector - to much like FarCry... but with more walking

Trainz series - despite good graphics... gameplay is awful compared to MSTS

MTX vs. ATV Unleashed - the vechicles don't have reverese... need I say any more?!

Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter - found it boring and thought the PC version was really cumbersome compared to console

Cabela's Off-road Adventure 3 (CORA 3) -

I love the idea - driving around for once and not racing. Its cool working out how to climb a hill without using NOS or whatever, doing real upgrades to your truck which you actually use such as a winch.

It works as an off-road adventure game... despite being somewhat outdated... but, it just takes too long to earn money to buy good trucks so you get bored, and in the end... and of the missions are just driving around to different locations. Now I grant I can't really think of how they could implement something else, but imo it gets boring pretty quick. Also, the vechicles damage to easily.

Btw, has anyone ever played it before?.... what do you think
