in Compiling will not work Post #144957
That's just the wrong attitude, m0p.
But seriously, use the fucking edit button.

Anyhow, to clear things up:
ZHLT / MHLT :
Compiling programs. They replace the original qcsg, qbsp, qvis and qrad that are designed for Quake.

Nems batch compiler :
A program which runs the Compiling programs (ZHLT or Q*tools) in order on the .map file. It has nothing to do with the compile itself, but is merely a UI for Batch compiling.

Now, to set up ZHLT tools in hammer, open your Options dialog and change the build programs lines to point to your ZHLT exes. Where you place them doesn't matter.

Their 1 gbit services have been removed since Telenor bought BBB (Damn norweigans), but other ISPs still offer it.

Edit: Also, 1 SEK (kr) = ca 0.075 USD.

Bredbandsbolaget offered 1gbit/s for people living within a certain radius of their stations some time ago. Can't remember the cost, I think it was like 50%+ on the monthly cost for your 100mbit connection.

Heh, AOL is one of those generic evil-doers known on the internet, such as EA, Windows and so on. We don't have it in cold sweden.

Anywho, here in sweden we have quite good internet connections...
You can get 100mbit/s for 320 kr (roughly ?23) a month, and private 1gbit/s lines for alot more.

Companies ofcourse get alot more.

Well, what exactly does "natural rights" define? Is it the right to live freely or the right to own a refridgerator? It's just a matter of priority.
I mean, even the harmful cooling and heating systems are being replaced.. as well as aresal cans..
In the industrial countries, yes. Many third world countries still use old, harmful technology which they cannot afford to replace.

As for cutting down Trees...
They Grow back...
We're cutting down trees far faster than they grow back. One and one-half acres of rainforest are lost every second.

Also, humans have had a major role in the depletion of ozone. Chlorofluorocarbons used in hundreds of products in the 50's and 60's hugely damaged the ozone layer. Since 1979, stratospheric ozone has decreased over the entire globe?between 4% and 6% per decade in mid-latitudes and between 10% and 12% per decade in higher southern latitudes.
Saying it's all cows faults for farting is a very bad excuse, seeing as how we actually mass-breed cows and fatigue them in favour of the meat industry.

As for oil, I think the threat to run out of oil and the hunt for more oil is actually more dangerous than to actually run out of oil itself.

Excuse the eventual bad spelling, it's 03:20 and I'm typing fast.

You can run out of oil, though. And seeing as how no major source of industrial energy has been created besides just that, energy pretty much equals oil these days.
Also, 'saving energy', as in not leaving your TV on standy or some pathetic shit like that is just a way for humans to feel better about themselves.

The western world is, in general, evil. Enviromental disasters are right out the door, more than a fifth of the population of the world is extremely poor, dictatorships with massive oppression are allowed to exist, a major exploit of third world countries takes place all the time.
The best anyone could do, for the sake of humanity and the world, would be to die. Cutting back on your car exhausts or not eating meat doesn't make any kind of significant difference.

If you mean they don't appear in Hammer when you add them, that's normal.
I don't think the Svencoop FGD supports in-hammer models. Just cause they're coloured blocks instead of models doesn't mean they don't work.

I doubt that figure is at all accurate. You might be thinking of illegal warezing and whatnot, but not even close to 75% do that on their computers.

Hmm. I think you're missing his question.

I'm going to assume you're mapping for multiplayer, chris. And also, I'm gonna assume you're wondering how to include the textures so that people won't have to download them manually.
Well, friend, lucky for you, I'm here!

There're different ways to do this.
One is to include a res file which will tell the game what files to download.
Another is to include them in the bsp - this will include the wad in the bsp, making it bigger but you can't get the wad from it.

I'll walk you through both ways.

To create a res file, open notepad (Start -> Run -> Notepad) and type in [
maps/[MAPNAME].res
[WADNAME].wad
maps/[MAPNAME.bsp
Then you Save the file as your map name .res - this is important, make sure the file is in .res format - in your maps directory.

To include the textures in the bsp - do this.
When you compile your map, press Expert compile - this will take you to the expert compile dialogue. On the CSG line, add -wadinclud [wadname] (note: No .wad needed, compile figures extensions out by itself).

Good luck.

Jeez, if this isn't worth a "Forum Helper" award, I don't know what is...

I'd say the thing that needs most work is the menu. As cpt said, Blue-on-blue looks horrible. The fonts are, in general, too big and MS comic? I'd suggest switching to Trebuchet MS.

Also, align the site to the center of the page - having to move my eyes to the left when I open it doesn't help it's "first impression".

Give it more borders - now, it just looks like everything's floating around in a big void, with no connection to eachother - makes it difficult to choose what to look at.

As everyone else in Sweden, I started studying English at the age of 9 (IIRC? Swedes feel free to correct), being in grade 3.
Allthough I have never believed school to be the primary source of English learning for me - I'd give more credit to Red Alert 1, Worms 1 and lots of movies.

djflipstarx writes "Jack Thompson, famous anti-videogame lawyer, has found himself in the position of being investigated by the Florida Bar Association after trying to get Penny-Arcade writers Gabe and Tycho arrested. A bunch of people from the Penny-Arcade forums then went and sent letters to the FBA asking for them to check up on Thompson's current actions and review his license to practice law. The fact that even the National Institute on Media and the Family distance themselves from Thompson doesn't help his case either." The lesson here? There are many nerds in the world. Some of them have a posse. Be careful who you pick on.
