skals - if you read what he wants again, i think youll find he doesn't want the door to only open once. he wants the door to open whenever he uses it more than once, and the door only opens once.

The 0 delay before close is likely the problem, as previously said.
Delay before close 0 is probably why it stays open. some glitch, I expecy, but Im suprised it opens when its set to 0 instead of instantly closing...
I always thought delay before close was the time between the door being fully open and the door starting to close?

i was jus wondering how the member search works, cause I just decided to search for the first name that came into my head (which happened to be "Ant"), and MY name came up a little way down, even though I dont even have a N or T in my name. did it search for every name that has those letters in it or something?? :zomg:

hey, that map doesnt work. I stuck a box around it and plugged in a playerstart, and it crashed the moment the map started. I dont get how its supposed to work anyway, the buttons target things that dont exist

well, it was decals of some kind.

but yeah, fitting a texture to a hugely bigger face will cause problems, as my experience shows. Also having a texture need to chop itself up a huge number of times to cover a face does it too.

Tetsu0: i think i get what you're saying, but wouldn't that just work if the box only moved along the one axis? if the info_target was just in front of the box, you wouldn't be able to move the box further away or closer to the laser without the laser either ending in midair or inside the box... right?

This might be important to an idea I have for a map, so i want to make sure whether or not it can be done.
Is it possible to have a box (or crate or something along those lines) that respawns (when triggered) and can produce a randomly chosen contents out of a few items when broken (like, produces either handgun ammo, satchels or medkits, but nothing else)?
It obviously requires a func_breakable, but i don't know 'bout those properties.

is there any way in half-life (or spirit) to make a brush or... something... so you can shoot a brush and the decal appears, but the bullet goes through the brush to hit something on the other side? (kinda like the glass in certain areas of hl2.)

Won. I've tried using it with steam before. Don't work (at least when I tried to do it).

I recently downloaded a bot mod called Phineas Bot. As soon as it gets to the part where it actually has to load (console), it says a whole heap of stuff, something like: "0 0000 svc_bad" or something like that. Why? :quizzical:

Got it! For some dumb, dumb, incredibly dumb reason, copying the wads into where hammer was and using them, it works. But I don't see how missing the wads stopped rad, vis and bsp from working at all.

Umm... no... hang on... no... Basicly all it says is that the wads can't be found and that hlbsp, hlrad and hlvis don't work because "there was an error compiling the map". :

Does the landmark need to be in the same place on each map or does it have to be the same place in relation to the trigger_changelevel? And does the changelevel FROM one room still have to exist in the other if the swap is one way? I dunno how trigger_changelevel works.

Well, that explains the wads, but... all the map is is a hollow box with a info_player_start in it. And the only config I have on this particular computer is Half-Life.

I have a problem with compiling (again). For some reason when it compiles it shows all the signs of a leak ("there was an error compiling the map"), except on bsp, which says that it couldn't find any of the wads (yes, I have tried resubmitting the wads). But there IS NO LEAK!!! Any help?... At all?... And are the "non-existant" wads (that I know exist) the problem? :(
