That changes the amount of frames on the timeline?

But how do you use IK-chains? I forgot how to get and use them. I don't feel leek moving every single bone one by one... You know. :cyclops:

The controllers help you move the bones in groups, its easy to move it and animate it using those.
I thought IK-chains did that. Or something. Don't know. How do they work and why?

Ok.

Open the CZ fgd in notepad and find the Cycler entity code:

@PointClass base(Targetname, Angles) Sequence() = cycler : "Monster Cycler"

Change that into:

@PointClass base(Targetname, Angles, Sequence) size(-16 -16 0, 16 16 72) studio() = cycler : "Monster Cycler"

Finally, you have to put the model in valve/models, since Hammer can only read from that directory.

You need the gfx.wad compiler SDK, which is very hard to find... I believe it is in the full installation of the HL SDK.

so, to my dreadfull problems, how do i change the main menu options?
im not talking about strings neither titles, i just dont want to display the option to change game and to trainning map, how can that be done ?
First, get this: http://www.themightyatom.nl/hldownloads/PakScape.zip
Launch it, and open the pak0.pak file from your Half-Life/valve folder.
Inside the pak file, open the gfx/shell folder.
Extract all the files in the shell folder to your moddir/gfx/shell folder. If you don't have that folder, create it. Now you can open the bmp files and start editting.
also, does anyone knows a good tutorial for coding entitys ? i wanted to code my own kind of enemys, but to a big extend, i wanted to make the barney model to look like an assasin, but animat like a barney, to be stronger and to use a shotgun or a 357, i saw something on the net about making a "mad scientist" but it didnt explained very much...

You need to change the monster's relationship, which is done in the RelationShip Grid in monsters.cpp, or monsters.h, i don't remember which one. Also, messing around with this does not always garantee a success...

Thats strange, why would you want to have a laptop videocard (mobility) built into your pc?
Very strange...

You could try the 200M version, but if that doesn't work, you have installed the wrong type of card in your rig. Mobility Radeon Cards belong in laptops/notebooks.

Edit: Monster_hostage entity is done, he behaves just like a normal scientist.

As for the monster_1337terrorist entity, this one is a bit harder.

I believe you can actually combine the ladders per room. All ladders in one room are assigned to one func_ladder entity.
1 func_ladder per room.

I can provide the team with a new model entity: env_model. Usefull for props. Also allows you to play animations, and can also move with other moving entities, such as func_trains, func_doors, whatever.

Screw Kevin Lockitt. :/ I don't think he will ever reply to me, so ill start coding these new monsters asap.

Well, the best you could do is make sure you completely uninstall your current videocard drivers using this tool:
http://www.themightyatom.nl/stuff/cat-uninstaller.zip

Its an official tool from ATI, so its save to use, i just host a copy on my website for backup purpose.

So get that, uninstall the driver, reboot, download and install the latest driver package from the ATI website, reboot.
Now you are sure that you have a clean installation of the videocard drivers with no traces of left behind drivers.

Hope this helps. I use the uninstaller everytime i install a new driver. Works fine.

Anyway, do you have any more brush based entities then just func_walls and func_doors? I know how a HyperCube from the movie looks like, and there are a lot of those rooms, so you can easely reach a maximum...

Default fov is 90. You're probably using a different value, pepper. I guess we all use 90, so you may want to test your weapons with that fov value.

Yesterday my computer was flooded with 400 viruses, all of them came from steam
Bull. You just visited some xxx sites and as soon as you open a webbrowser, all those popups start to appear, because Steam uses a build-in browser, making you believe Steam is doing it.
I think I used dll's muzzleflash gave me once but Hl rejected them.
Its your crappy videocard. The dlls work fine for me.
And it is HL, not Hl, its like saying Hi.
Which one is correct:
