But what about all the other things you do yourself, or consent to? There's far greater risks involved in your own home then with a vaccine. Food poisoning is a good one.

While you are using bad examples, I do understand where you are coming from. And I will agree we take a great number of risks every day, but, I don't really believe that the consequenses of such daily actions would likely be so severe. And most of these things we have to do anyway.
The stupid thing about the vaccine, I believe, is that you are likely to get flu like symptoms from taking the vaccine, as well as the other possible risks. If you don't, then you get a flu. Full stop. It's just a flu with a fancy name. Nobody is at a higher risk of dying of Swine Flu than they are of dying of regular flu.
