You should spawn at least once before the new round, csdm spawing is freakin' fast.

Its not strippiung you of your weapons. You probably just aren't starting an actual game. Start a lan server when you test the map.

You will have to physically "use" the entity. Put it inside the button and have the button target nothing if you are going to use that flag. Why hae it target nothing? Because theres nothing to target if you are using the target at the same time. Why have a button at all in that case? Because it looks cheesy when you use a wall and get guns.

Make sure the target name is right. Make sure you named the game_player_equip at all for that matter(stupid, yes. But I've forgotten to name things my fair share of times). Are you using a button_target or a func_button?

What you want is AMX mod then. You can't script things like respawning in a map.
You can't have any scripted_, aiscripted_ entities in CSHostages can be monster_scientists in CS. I'm gueesing it wouldn't work if you tried to script them.... might though, never really tried it.
The folders don't exist. open your valve folder and make a maps folder.
Define "spawn with the items", does it teleport you to the entity or something?

Don't use hollow, build a sky manually around the outside of your map. Using hollow puts sky on the bottom of the map and stuff and screws up vis and rad time.

You can't make cts look like aliens. You can't change their model at all for that matter unless you get a custom client side model for personal use.

Seriously, though. Pay attention to the error from now on. if it says the map is lackign something don't start deleting stuff. you only make it worse.
I don't think you can save vmfs as .maps. They are completely different formats. I'm not too famaliar with Source mapping though so I could be wrong.

CZ models, with the exception of player and p_ models I think, are compatable with 1.6. Odds are you set the wrong path or something in the cycler_sprite, check it agani and if its right replace it with another model and see if it shows up.
