Sorry. for my sudden departure, i had to a couple projects due.

My main concern is not that the decompliered maps are not showing any textures i just used that for fun, whats really scaring me is the fact that ANY map i open including the ones i made a couple months back wont show any textures in the TEXTURE mode.

1.) When i use winbspc12 to contert a .bsp to a .map for the purposes of learning, the conversion goes fine. When i open the .map file on WorldCraft, which i just downloaded today cuz i reformatted my computer and I havent used Worldcraft in months, some error pops up.

When i go through the map, i see no textures (in the camera texture mode). Is there something i configured incorrectly when i setup WorldCraft today?
BTW, the three .WAD files i m using are liquid, decals, and halflife

I dont know if this makes any difference but i using Counterstrike.

2.) Which one is best for the using Counterstrike? halflife.fgd or halflife-tfc.fgd ?

Thanks in Advance

Okay, i am pratically done my map, all thats left is putting up the right textures, weapons, people and fix...the leaks. :badass:

What my questions is why worry about leaks when u are already are able to play on the map. I was playing in my map, and everything was as i wanted: the lighting was good, the dimensions were good, everything. So whats the problem with having a few leaks?

-Anther question is when i start my map, i dont see any radar, nor my health, nor ammo etc. just a guy with a AK-47 in his hand. I dont even start with a knife! Is there a way i can fix these problems? :

Thanks in Advance! :D

I have a problem with this idea of overlapping brushes.
During the course of making my map, I paid extra extra attention everytime i joined brushes together, that their was no leak.
I have learned that the term 'leak' is like taking your whole map underwater, and if water is dripping/pouring in your map, then u have a leak. So when i m joining two walls together, i purposely overlap them just to be extra safe. So how can that be causing a leak?

My 2nd map that i created (which is huge and very complicated) has many over lapping brushes. Therefore if that is dangerous, how can i pinpoint brushes that are overlapping? (lol 80% of all the walls are purposely overlapping)

BTW, in my first map, i joined 2 rooms together and overlapped the brushes, the map worked fine.

Thanks in Advance (This is TrueBlue, last time the site didnt recognize me and i was named anonymous)

I got some NEWB questions about CS mapping. I learned making rooms by carving..and right now i m making some zigzag hallways in my map. Which brings me to my questions: :)

1.) Do leaks in my hallway REALLY matter? I mean i m really going to stick my whole map in a big box, making it a room. And can u have things floating in a map? like my whole map in a huge box.

2.) Is there a limit to how big a map can be?

3.) Is there a faster more efficient way of making rooms connect without carving? :badass:

4.) Are these too many questions?

Thanks in Advance! :D
