I'd love to do one of those retexture compos like the one that was done a while back. However, extending from the base map sounds pretty interesting too.
Id like a prefab section :D! I might seem lazy but there are things that I just cant do (for example, cars). The prefabs would help alot, and the other sites are just filled with ads, unlike TWHL.
You know when you want to have an area flooded? Couldnt you just use an animated texture (Of a waterfall) and then make the waterfall in small pieces, make them into func_wall_toggles and then have it so that when the water is triggered to rise, a multimanager turns them all off, giving an illusion of a disappearing waterfall? I think it could work, but im too lazy to try it.
You need an origin in the func train. It wont work. Why do you think you put origin brushes in cars and stuff (they do rotate). Evenif they dont, they still need it.
I tryed for like 30 minutes and couldnt get a single idea. I was trying as hard as I could to not use custom things, but I just cant think of what to do for the layout.

Ok Ive figured it out, there is a trigger_once that will trigger a scripted_sentence from barney (you need your hev suit). Walking over the Hev suit Kills the trigger once, and then there is another trigger once that triggers a sequence of the barney opening the door (multi manager if i want him to say something as well.)
actually the doors were seperate, thats why the maps loaded. The doors only appeared to move ;).
All you have to do for the glass is make it a train like the rest, give it all of the same stats (most important is name or else it wont move) and give it normal glass properties.
ex : func_train name - train first stop target - t1
then the glass
func_train name - train rendermode - texture fx amount - anything first stop target - t1.

Okay, I had asked before that my monsters would not show up in half life, even with their entities set up. I was told to start a new game, then try it. Unfortunuately, I tried this (A while later I might add ^_^) and it didn't work.
When I am trying to make a map with monsters in it for half life, it doesn't work and the monster doesn't show up. On Sven-Coop, the monsters would show up fine.
If I use my Sven-coop fgd and use the maps from it and try and play it on half life, would it work? (Well, if I don't try maps that don't use the stuff in half life)
Well Just to tell you, theres a mod called Sven-Coop which is like HL, but with much more capabilities and it baisically can be something like half life but..you can cooperate with other people instead of being alone all the time
