New specs:
Proc: 2.4 Ghz Celeron
Memory: 2x 512 mbs @ pc2700
Video: Geforce 6200 128mb PCI Interface
Sound: Sound Blaster Live! 24 bit
HDD: Same 70 gig HDD, except with about 25 gigs free
All in all, its a good rig. Gets 30 - 40 FPS on Source. I want a new sound card... again, though. This one gives me more trouble than it fixes. I would get one for christmsa, but the thing is, i just got this card for my birthday. It would be awkward for me to go to my parents and ask for another one.

You all have too much money. This rig is about 3-4 years old now. I can barely scrape a social-life (for monetary reasons :P), I won't be able to upgrade for at least another year. If I want anything decent.

I wish i had an impressive PC to post here, but i'm afraid 768mb RAM, an Athlon 2400+, a Radeon X800GTO, and ONE fan is all i have.
Good news is i'm one-third of the way saved up for a shiny new PC with two LCD's and decent cooling! Future PC > All of yours. I Should just wait for DX10 though.

Seems to me that 3 or 4 years ago, this would have been a kick ass machine.No, it sucked then too
The only thing I could ever even slightly brag about was the GPU and that's newer than the rest of the machine anyway.

Unless you live in Afghanistan, surge protection isn't muchly needed. Most houses are a bit more sophisticated nowadays.
I really need some extra RAM, 512MB is quite cheap nowadays. Anyone feel like giving me a Christmas present?
