OK, with the release of TF2, Source, does anyone know an easy way to get my .map files from CS/DoD etc. into source.

I have a really good canyon map CS 1.6/DoD (in .map/RTF) that I want to convert over to the source engine.

Once there I want to change the entire configuration/textures into TF2 and let the mayhem begin!!

Any ideas in how to do it easy?

You have to save the map file as an rmf, than it can be loaded up in the source sdk and saved/compiled in source format (vmf).

I think you can copy world geometry from one hammer to another, but you will have to retextures everything.

Yep I can open the map in source. Can see everything in 3 windows just as I designed it - nothing shows up in the camera view though..

I'd like to thanks everyone for their helps and will not start/review threads in the source engine section.

for the camera view, click the camera button and drag a line in one of the 2-d views.

everything should be white.

and to (kinda) easily re-texture, hit alt+p, and you should see a list of invalid textures.

type one in to the texture application screen, and replace it. (make sure you select the 'everything' check box)
