I'm missing my dust motes texture. I have a new one, but where do I put it in the L4D2 folder? It'd be similar to HL2, I can't find that one either.

Yes this is a repost. I didn't think anyone seen the last one in the WIPs thread. I really don't like making new threads for small problems.

EDIT: Ok, finally verified my crap. It didn't work.

...also I realized I posted in the wrong forum section. This should be in the source engine section. My bad. :(

Have you tried looking into particle effects as an alternative?

I think he is using the motes as a particle effect.. i just dont think the particle texture is rendering?

I assume he's using func_dustmotes, since you can't override what material it uses for the motes.

If he created his own custom particles, using a different texture, it would do the trick, though it wouldn't be as easy to get them into suitable shapes I guess.

EDIT:
Wait, here you go. Some guy had the same problem in L4D, should be the same in L4D2.
