So I was just figuring out the handleanimevent function in this mess of a codebase. And it seems to depend on animation "tags" that were pre-defined in the model itself.

How do I view these 'tags'? HLMV seems to lack that functionality.

I think the Events combobox in the Sequences tab shows the details of events that are handled by HandleAnimEvent.

I don't have an "events" combobox in the sequences tab. I'm using HLMV v1.24
-Are you using Jed's or something different?

Yes, I'm using Jed's HLMV.

unfortunately now i remember why I uninstalled jed's last time. It was waaaayyy too unstable (crashes 50% frequency)

Here's an updated version of HLMV which supports event viewing and model transparency: http://cid-1bcc5bd24a241de4.office.live.com/self.aspx/Half-Life%20SDK/tools/mugsy%5E_hlmv.zip

thanks! for improved hlmv. I looked at your root folder: you have a lot of stuff!

No problem. And yeah, I've got a fair bit there, but I've still got plenty on my hard drive that I'll eventually upload.

What is it you're trying to do with event stuff anyway?

trying to code a gonome, nothing big.

There's some gonome code here: http://cid-1bcc5bd24a241de4.office.live.com/self.aspx/Half-Life%20SDK/source/raven%5E_sourcev1.0.rar (in dlls\gonome.cpp)
I haven't used it myself though.

I looked in it, and it seemed to be great. Thought some of the monsters seemed unfamiliar so I don't know what models are involved
