I saw in the steam news something about people changing their models to odd things like headcrabs etc. and that it was going to be fixed.
How do they do that? I tried the cfg file, but that didn't work...

Well, I'm not sure at all. The only thing I can think of is that the models were simply renamed and moved to the humans/combine model folders.

This error is patched now. There's also a CS:S update with de_train and cs_compound and some bot and radar fixes.

Yup. Still, there're some ridiculously-basic features missing - like other models! I mean, what the hell, are they just gunna leave it like this, with two player models?

Methinks they're taking advantage of Steam to proscrinate here - and concentrate on new games without finishing the old ones.

Well, they are busy D:

New models are on the way. They're working with Turtle Rock to get most of the content done, I think. de_train is certainly awesome, I can forgive the fact there's only two for that map.

Train is amazing, apart from errors experienced on my PC. Is, by far, the best CS:S map out.

Too bad Compound SUX. My dog could make a better map. It looks great and all, but it plays like a piece of dog turd.

They spoilt train. It's worse, for the game, than its original equivalent.

Compound is terrible.

What the hell are VALVe playing at? Why don't they actually finish all the stuff they still haven't, like different models, before they squander their time on producing shoddy maps.

personally, i don't giva a rat's ass about new models, it's more important that valve fixes the lagspikes and stutters.

since the bot update (the one when they added them) i've been unable to play CSS properly. the game freezes for a few sec (especially when in firefights, of course) and then i'm dead. bugs me to no end!

fixing those shitty bugs are more important than adding some stupid models.
I've lost my respect towards Valve since Hl2 came out. if you read the CSS forums on the steam site you can see that ALOT of people are having the same problems as i have and still all they do is shit forth new maps and bots. :roll:

heh, its funny how these forum conversations can shift so easily. The question was how do you change models in mp, then it somehow changed to console commands and now you're all whining about VALVe :lol:
