This entity has been cut by Valve during the development of Half-Life and therefore is a leftover. It might function properly or not entirely or not at all.
Spawns an antidote to cure nerve gas and poison damage. The antidote shot is administered automatically by the suit during the timed damage. In a
deathmatch game, the item respawns 30 seconds after being collected.
Attributes
- Target (target) - Trigger this target when collected.
- Delay before trigger (delay) - Seemingly unused.
- KillTarget (killtarget) - Seemingly unused.
- Name (targetname) - Name is a general attribute used to identify entities.
- Pitch Yaw Roll (Y Z X) (angles) - Changes the rotational position of the item.
Flags
- Not in Deathmatch (2048) - If enabled, the entity will not be present in a deathmatch game.
Notes
- This item can be picked up without the suit.
- There is no "limit" of how much the player can carry antidotes.
- After some testing, the antidote seems useless on nerve gas because of how fast it damage and "wear off" on the player. It does however reduces the poison effect from 6 "damage ticks" to 3 "damage ticks".
- There is no HUD element telling how many antidote shots the player has.
- The H.E.V. suit will play the
HEV_DET4
and HEV_HEAL4
sentences upon picking up and administration of an antidote respectively.
