Penguinboy PenguinboyHaha, I died again!
I am now the proud owner of a brand new Playstation 3 console thingie. I won it in that competition that Ant didn't win, as a voters prize. It also came with a game called Tiny-Huge Island, which I assume is related to Mario LittleBigPlanet, which has nothing to do with Mario, except that it's a sidescrolling platformer. It's pretty crappy, so I'm planning to sell it to Strider and buy RE5 instead.

Recently I went on a used game buying spree, from Ebay, and certain trading stores. Here's the results of my search:
User posted image
That's:
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time - $10
Beyond Good and Evil - $8 + $6 postage
Timesplitters 2 - $16 + $4
Command and Conquer: Tiberian Sun - $10
Myst: Masterpiece Edition - $2
GTA Vice City - $16
Deus Ex: Invisible War - $12

Not pictured:
Golden Sun: The Lost Age - $10 (no box)
Neverwinter Nights - $2 (crappy "classic edition" box)
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune - $25 + $6 (in the mail)

Project progress (see previous journal):
The 11 is now reduced to 7.
53% to announcement.
21,500 lines. (Yeah, I haven't done much lately)

Where's Firestorm?

Impossible to find an original copy of it.

Grats. Did you flaunt your prizes at Ant?

Have fun with it. Why no PS3 games in your spree?
Commented 15 years ago2009-03-11 13:57:39 UTC Comment #49958
"Why no PS3 games"

they don't exist.

Well I got those games all a while back, and I didn't get the PS3 that long ago. But you should notice:
"Uncharted: Drake's Fortune - $25 + $6 (in the mail)"

Well you're starting off your PS3 game collection strongly. Uncharted is great and Resident Evil 5 looks to be the same. I started off good with MGS4, but a series of bad buys (Assassin's Creed, Fallout 3, Prince of Persia) left a sour taste in my mouth. >:(

Uncharted made it all worthwhile again though, it's an adventure classic. I look forward to Tiny-Huge Island LittleBigPlanet and Resident Evil 5 greatly, too.

Omg, MYST! I remember playing that on my dads old mac as a kid.

Myst sucks so much. I actually got it working in Windows XP and promptly uninstalled it after realizing what a shit game it really is. It didn't even function properly. But hey, plenty of people love it.

Good deals you got there, by the way. There are so many old PS2 games out there that I never got to play at the time, it's a shame now because I've forgotten about most of them, and now they're all cheap. Now you've got to find time to play all those.

hey! i recently got Vice city too. GTA3 got a bit old for me
Commented 15 years ago2009-03-12 05:18:25 UTC Comment #49971
I tried Myst III.
I only played for 20 minutes because I got bored and I didn't have enough patience to keep playing. Don't know how the rest of the game is.
The only adventure game I like is Broken Sword: Sleeping Dragon.

I pre-ordered Resi 5 for tommorow which shall be grand since it's the 13th.

If you need a partner then howl me. Habboi is me username. I like to be Sheva because she can kick Las Plagas ass.

edit

Haha the postman came and delivered RE 5 a day early. I love play.com!

Pretty sure you're just a day late, Habboi. Australia got it on the 12th, and Europe probably did too. It's just America that gets it a day later.

I bought it today O:O:O

Myst rocks, you ignorant... ignorant's. >:(

Anyone who thinks Myst is boring (ESPECIALLY MYST 3) needs to grow some brains.
Commented 15 years ago2009-03-12 12:24:11 UTC Comment #49972
Haha the postman came
Commented 15 years ago2009-03-12 19:11:28 UTC Comment #49965
How can you NOT think Myst is boring and slow? It's an on-rails adventure with still images. Brains have nothing to do with it, let's all just grow some patience.
Commented 15 years ago2009-03-12 19:50:41 UTC Comment #49952
It's a puzzle game, man. Of course it requires brains. If you think it's boring and slow than perhaps you really haven't the brains to figure out what to do? ;)

In other news, Resident Evil 5 rocks so far.
Commented 15 years ago2009-03-12 20:31:25 UTC Comment #49974
lol. 'perhaps you really haven't the brains to figure out what to do?'
Then he goes on to talk about a Zombie Shoot-em-up.

Hey, my brain likes all kinds of activities. Even mindless ones. ;)
Commented 15 years ago2009-03-13 04:17:53 UTC Comment #49968
That is completely logical.
Commented 15 years ago2009-03-13 06:11:37 UTC Comment #49954
Yes I'm.. doesn't.

I remember playing Myst way back when. I was really young at the time. I remember not being able to get off the one island. Stupid rocket.

Maybe I'll reinstall it, and use my experience and knowledge to play it. :>

Try to "obtain" a copy of RealMyst - it's the original Myst in a full 3D engine.

Oh gosh potatis_invalid, that's funny! That's really funny! Do you write your own material? Do you? Because that is so fresh.

"Haha the postman came", you know? I've never heard anyone make that joke before. Hmmm you're the first. I've never heard anyone reference that outside of TWHL before. Because that's what I said in this journal right? Isn't it?

"Haha the postman came" and yet you've taken that and used it out of context to insult me in this everyday situation. God, what a clever, smart girl you must be to come up with a joke like that all by yourself. Hm and so fresh too!

Any Titanic jokes you want to throw at me as long as we're hitting these phenomena at the height of their popularity? Hm? Cause I'm here! God you're SO funny!
Commented 15 years ago2009-03-14 19:55:41 UTC Comment #49973
"Hmmm you're the first."
That's why I wrote it, because it's older than Africa.
