Yeah, the only problem is who is gonna pay for this. It's extraordinary beauty in 3D scenes, but 1 : it costs money, 2: because of 1 this will not be accessible in the next few years.

I too have a feeling this could be pre-rendered, but for some time now some game developers have been predicting that real time game play with this kind of sophistication is just around the corner. If this Direct3D 11 video is indeed a non-rendered, real time demonstration, then I think Microsoft has really taken the latest 3D graphics up a notch with their DirectX platform. This could also be viewed as a potential preview of Microsoft's next game console's graphics engine, or it could even be better than this, who knows...
Still, showcased the next gen stuff beautifully. Let's just see if cards can keep up.
