Has anybody seen this yet? I'm sorry, but I can't possibly see any normal man getting all fired-up after seeing the November 2009 Playboy issue. I can understand on how Playboy is trying to be cute and all by breaking the usual mold, but to tell you the truth, I think it could back fire on them if they are not careful: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091009/ap_on_en_ot/us_playboy_marge_simpson

Oh man, Playboy is reporting that it's in "high-level talks with other female animated characters", well...whatever the hell that means.

Hey Tetsu0, you asked "what other characters they're going to delve into", well, you might want to check out this picture gallery of Playboy's possible choices: http://www.foxnews.com/slideshow/entertainment/2009/10/09/marge-simpson-cover-playboy?test=faces

Well if I recall she was already on an issue of Maxim, I think. So while it is a little strange, it's not new.

It might not be new in terms of "mens magazines" overall, but what makes this case special, is that this is the very first time that a fictional cartoon woman graces the cover of Playboy, and that apparently is a big deal. As much as I like Maxim, it is just simply no Playboy. Playboy is more than just a magazine, it's an institution, it' the center of a media and product empire that spans magazines, books, calendars, movies, colognes, watches,....well, you get the idea, that bunny rabbit logo is everywhere. There's even a Playboy cable TV channel! But you are right in one thing Penguinboy, it is strange.
