Obsolete. I illegally started driving at about 12 =)). (practice driving on non-public roads of course, but it's still illegal).

My issue isn't when you started, but when the law says that you can. It seems like a fundamentally bad idea for the legal driving age to coincide with the legal drinking age, regardless of when you or any other specific individual actually started doing either.

here in Australia, you can start driving at 16 and can have out full licence when we turn 17.

Here permit is 14, school license after drivers ed + 6 months of owning permit, intermediate (full ability until 12:30 AM) at 16, full at 17.
