Well, I've just bought myself a new hard drive. It should be arriving on Thursday. It's a Samsung SpinPoint M8, 1TB capacity, so maybe now I won't keep running out of disk space.
And I think I will try Linux for a while. Stojke said in his last journal that he managed to get Hammer working in Linux.

1TB is not that much. I have 2x250GB and they're both near full.

I have 5TB and I've used about 50% :P
The most recent drives I bought were the Samsung SpinPoint models as well, they seem to be working quite well. I was sick of the Seagates breaking on me, let's hope these ones don't do the same.

What do you store on those hard drives that eat space like a mouse eating cheese?

I manage on 250 GB, and 500 GB would be plenty.

Don't say pirated films and games. --Brain

Pirated films and games.
No! Quick, say something else!

I mean--- some people have a lot of games on Steam.
Phew! That was close.

Wait, I mean-- lots of RAW photos take up a lot of space. Yeah, that.
You're a genius. Let's go watch Tron.

Well... Raw photos do take a hefty +18MB per image.

awesome!

does it come in 2.5"? =P

It is a 2.5" drive Mr Terror, which is why I was limited to about 1TB, what with my price range and the fact that I honestly didn't see any drives past a terabyte. And I do have a 2TB external drive, so I don't have to worry about using up all that space with my massive collection of pornography games.

Actually, come to think of it neither of those collections are particularly big. I suppose I did have a few pirated films and games RAW images though. And even a few non pirated, non Steam games.
