I'm confused.

I rarely sleep for long periods of time, especially at the weekend. In the week I can quite happily stay up til 2am and get up when the alarm goes off at 6:30. On Friday I will usually not go to sleep until around 4am, getting up with the alarm at 6am. While I don't have much energy I am perfectly capable of driving and stuff like that.

Now, this weekend, I've had 2 (relatively) early nights. Saturday night I was in bed at half-past midnight until 8am and Sunday night I went to bed at 11ish and woke up BEFORE my alarm at around 6am. If I wake up prior to alarm, that to me says that I've gotten plenty of rest.

Why is it then that today I feel drained and nauseous!?

I used to not be able to sleep. It was my Adderal. So I switched to Stratera. Problem solved.

Even though your regular sleeping periods seem awfully short, it could be that you're oversleeping - compared to your regular 2-4 hours of sleeping.

Oversleeping can lead you to feel more exhausted. But I'm being Captain Obvious here.

Well lucky you that your sleeping patterns aren't as fucked up as mine for you to at least be able to go to sleep at 2am and successfully sleep until 6am. I don't get that luxury.

Like Taylor said, it can happen when you oversleep. I get that a bit often, and I can't help it D:

2-4 hours of sleep can't be healthy. 6-8 is normal.
If I sleep less than 5 hours two nights in a row I'm practically useless.

You probably are waking up in the middle of REM because of an alarm. That is known to make people super tired.

That website is no joke. Also, set your alarm quiter so you waken more gradually as you ease out of a sleep cycle.
