I think Archie gets it. It's really a bitter-sweet moment.

I had some of the best times of my life when I was in college. Twenty years later, I still go back to visit because I miss those days.

Nevertheless, it's time to move on to bigger and even more exciting things. I see a bright future ahead. Don't be afraid to wield your crowbar. Go out and get them!

I think what Satchmo is trying to say is that you should attend all job interviews with a crowbar in your hand. Maybe wap it against your left palm every minute or so.
