Brought Nahmbo home from Fort Lauderdale. It was a 4 hour drive and he and I were in the back seat. The whole way he was so nervous and I comforted him the whole way. I didn't get out at the rest stops, and never left his side so he would be alone. When we were bringing him into my apartment, he wiggled loose and ran across the complex, under a fence and into a marshy wooded area. I ran after him and jumped the fence. I found him trapped under a collapsed section of fence. I crawled in the dirt and mud in a 12 inch high space to grab him. He was stuck and I couldn't pull him out. He was licking my fingers and trusted me. There was no sign of any assistance so I used my arms, knees, and back to force the section of fence up and grabbed him. I don't know how heavy the wooden fence was, I couldn't feel it. Once he was free he leaped into my arms and I carried him home. He only scratched me once by accident when he jumped. We've been slowly getting acquainted with my apartment since yesterday. The amount of trust this cat has in me is emotionally stirring. I'm glad he's safe, despite the bruises on my arms, legs, and back, as well as several ant bites.
At least he has found a daddy, and a home.

I just got a dog myself. If I had a camera I would post pictures.
