Before you say anything, yes, the HDDs will be in RAID 0, and while the risk of failure is greater, given their reputation and my personal experience, I'm willing to take the risk for the performance increase and reduced cost for my game installs.
80GB?! That's like, two games by modern standards
Wish i was joking.
He hasn't told us if it's a hard drive or SSD though. It could be like mine, with a smaller SSD for Windows and clients (Steam/Origin/etc.), and high capacity storage for the games.
Id be careful with those, i had 2 new Red's fall out of a RAID that we bought this year. Only ~4-6 months of service. Granted they did not have any bad blocks or anything so we popped them back in and all is good, but if a drive drops out of RAID0 you're done.
On an unrelated note why not an i7 ? Or is it just me that i hate the number 5 ?
I went with the i5 because I didn't see a need to spend another $150, just for Hyper Threading and 0.5GHz. As for the drives, worst case scenario, I have to re-download my games. It would suck, but we've had serveral different levels of WD drives and a Seagate, and only the latter's failed.
Also that keyboard is hawt(and not cheap). Was looking at those and the Razer Chromas... very nice!
