A HL2 competition would be nice but... This is and always will be TWHL not TWHL? so i doubt the oldies here like Andy or Seventh etc would want to map for a new game that is similar to hl1 but takes less skill.
This is because of all the models and subside tools!
I would love to see a HL? compo but in my heart i must say HL1 forever!
HL2 was born from HL1's popular shell and without it HL2 would be nothing!
You place the crow in your map, put an entity called path_corner in your map and in properties type a name e.g. start1 then type start2 in next path bit.
Copy it to where you want the bird to fly and hammer is clever enough to put a line between the two path_corners you just made.
You then type the name of the first path_corner to end the path that the crow flies in so its start1 in next path so it makes a circle that the bird uses to fly around.
When you start the map the bird sits there unless you scare it with a grenade near it.
Could you explain it a bit more pleae but if you mean the player then place it above bed but if you mean a model then you have to use a model with no animation and place him on bed!
css is hl2 basically and it would be nice to have a top 20 vault although it could easily be done by coding it to place top maps on front page of vaults!
