Those two posts's arguments make absolutely no sense. A journal is limited to a single topic and a PM is a two-way discussion. If neither you or anybody else honestly see what a profile comment system could do that a PM system or journal comment system can't then I don't know what to say.

Now that's not to say it's so important it deserves to be added, but comparing PM's and journals to it? Idiotic.

I have a Canadian\American accent and I might be able to do it, although I'm 3 years away from 'mature' age I think I could pass off for an adult due to my deep voice. [I'll replace the sample link with one of me talking normally, some reason I raise the pitch of my voice when trying to adopt a accent]

EDIT: I don't think I can pass off for an adult. Listening to my voice over and over I seriously don't get how people can possibly mistake me for being so much older then I really am...
EDIT: Updated the file.

If you ever, ever make another model with hopes of getting it into a game engine using that abomination of a program I will gouge your fucking eyes out TJB. Seriously, use XSI, 3DS Max, Maya, BLENDER, anything else other then that program. No offense but when Joebama gave me that MP5 to work with it was completely unusable, Sketchup is NOT a modelling package.

With that said, It looks pretty good.

Since many of you have taken notice that I've been here for over 3 years and haven't done jack shit for mapping, I've been polishing something up over the course of a couple months [Which really means work on it for a day then don't touch it for three months then work on it for another day and repeat], so here it is, still incomplete and in dire need of retouching, but it's polished enough to at least show as a WIP.

No but really though I started this months ago and haven't touched it until this evening, at which point I started into a epic rage burst of 5 hours of no-sleep mapping, right now it's 4:30 AM and I should probably be sleeping right now but for some reason am not.

I intend to shoot some more videos but first I have to get off my ass and find something worth shooting instead of small test films.
When school kicks back in would probably be a good time to start, for now all I'm doing is dicking around with the camera because I don't fully know how to use it, what it operates best in. Right now I'm only just getting into the world of video but I've been doing small photography for a good while now so I don't have to 'experiment' beyond the basics because I've already done much of it before already.

Also while it's alright if you feed it good settings and conditions, I'm still finding myself disappointed and annoyed by some of it's letdowns, Full HD 1080p seems to be as Archie stated, upscaled 720p and what's more is that it's cropped down, effectively rendering the pretty decent wide angle lense to a claustrophobic zoomed-in image unless you intend to be at a distance from what you're shooting, and the low lighting is pretty bad, getting noisy and unusable if it get's too dark, but is worked around relatively easily. Overall it's okay for vblogging and some small filmography, but I wouldn't consider it the most ideal camera for filming. I mostly got it because this kind of camcorder would have been great to have with me when I went out to mount Washington, could have shot some good footage there, not so much for actually doing some films or such, but I'm trying to make something soon.

Also on the subject of cropping: I've heard the RED EPIC also follows this bizarre method of shooting 1080p. Why the hell do cameras do this? I would use 1080p but the cropping makes it completely unusable.

EDIT: Actually I've just attempted to upscale 720p footage to 1080p then compared it to 1080p footage and the 1080p footage is in fact a lot sharper then just upscaling. Still, not the most sharp.

we got accused of hacking several times a night. It really starts to wear thin.
This. Unfortunately I have to actually dumb down my senses to a level that won't seem 'bullshit' to other people, If I'm walking down hall in dust2 and I hear somebody walking up behind me I'll gauge if they're close enough to be a imminent threat or I'll keep going ahead into B, pretending I don't know they're there and playing dumb until a 'convenient' moment for me to actually turn around and shoot them, because unfortunately if you just suddenly whip around and headshot them they WILL call bullshit on it.

I'm shit at 1.6 but whenever I play CS:S I have to play dumb all the time because otherwise people are just going to call bullshit all the time. Doesn't matter if you located them by sound, by instinct or radar. They just don't give a fuck. More often then not the logistical\tactical part of my brain does a check-in and reminds me I haven't looked behind me in a while and I turn around, oh apparently there's a enemy there. So you just completely randomly turn around and shoot them. They call bullshit.

They look pretty good, but honestly it's difficult to answer that question because we have no idea what artistic direction you're aiming for.

Photorealism wise they look too cartoonish, too colored with little detail, but any other artistic direction they look fine.

Martial arts isn't the art of being aware. Its the art of paying a teacher too much money for bs you could figure out on your own.
You're a effing idiot.

I seriously don't get why you're getting a firearm.
Recieving professional SD training is not a substitution for having a firearm as protection, but having a firearm as protection doesn't substitute for professional SD training. If you seriously think you can 'figure out' on your own what proper training can do, then by all means go ahead mister NSA agent. I'd love to watch you fail and get shot, because that's what happens to idiots who think they can train themselves the same as somebody who's trained their entire life every day all day by a instructor who actually knows what he's doing.

If you're receiving professional training on how to point a gun at a target then that's all you're doing. You're just building your ability to bring up your sights and fire. That's it.

Also your supposed friend who knew karate is a complete idiot, here's to hoping he got the arrogance and ignorance beaten out of him.

Professional training on how to operate a firearm. Not the same thing.
Martial arts won't protect you from a gun.
the best self defense is to always be aware and alert.
I severely hope you realize the extreme amounts of ignorance, idiocy, irony and contradiction that are packed into these two posts. I really do.
But then again considering you know absolutely nothing about martial arts, I'll just blame it on ignorance.

Sure, a gun will allow you to shoot somebody dead. Too bad you won't see him before he pulls on you, and you're absolutely right, martial arts will not protect you from a bullet whizzing your way. Neither will a gun. Only Kevlar Armour can. So why don't you just get a Kevlar vest instead?

You'r right the best self defense is to always be aware and alert.
And apparently buying a gun gives you this ability but receiving professional training does not.
