Yeah, I'm surprised you never saw Elon's example!

They also show up in one of the final chapters of HL on Xen, but I dunno if they're the same as Elon's--they look the same though.

"Cut out" that part of the map, and put in the problems section, or give us a link to check it out. It doesn't seem like a very hard problem, but your not really giving us a lot to work with ;)

K.

Tools menu/options/2D views ---> check the "Arrow keys nudge selected object/vertex" checkbox

In this way you can align your decal with the arrow keys--I just tested it. This is probably a better way to align the decal imo.

...hold the right mouse button. Hammer now cycles through all the available selections which are currently behind your mouse cursor.
That is Awsome Muzz, but it's the left mouse button--I just tried it. It works very pwntastically, so you win sir good day :)

Caboose: I think he means using a regular texture that looks like the decal, and nulling or rendering transparent all the sides of the brush except the front face

In this way, you can make any texture decalish, and is a good tip imo :)

I thought the movie was great too.

My thoughts on your questions:

1. No. I think Costello's girlfriend later in the movie is the "period girl" from the beginning, but I could be wrong.

2. Yes, I think that guy also was undercover, else, why would he have not told his buddies if he knew who the rat was? So too, I think the commercial where you see the funeral for the undercover cop after he dies is real, and not a ploy to protect the real mole.

3. Probably the most pivotal question of the whole film, and intentionally left unclear, but I would say he was.

4. To tie-up loose ends. He setup/killed Costello when he learned about the informant thingy, and after that, that guy would just be a liability to Sullivan.

5. I think that was information in the letter he left to Sullivan's ex-fiancee.

6. I dun remember that bit of music. Check IMDB for the complete soundtrack/score credits. They're usually flawless about crediting everything, no matter how small.

Superb movie. I loved it :)

All looks cool to me, but there is just one more elephant in the room that needs to be discussed, and that's judging time.

Results should be posted in a reasonable amount of time.

I totally realize people have their own lives/responsibliities/priorities, but I'm sorry, 3 weeks--I don't remember the exact time, but it sure felt that long--for results is just torture, and is totally unacceptable imo.

What can we do to expedite the process for this one?

That sky is wicked! (that is matrix, like Kasperg?)

WCD: Yeah, stretching textures will indeed speed up your vis times considerably, just don't over stretch or the lighting will look very bad.

Experiment. When I was doing the lego compo, I had a pretty much empty--yet big-- room, with the textures scaled to .25. At that low scale, it took like 10 minutes--VIS--to compile an empty map!!!

Scaling up the textures to 1.25 cut the VIS time to 45 seconds or some such ;)

Hints don't work very well on wide-open maps, or at all for me--r_speeds always go up when I use them :)

func_walling detail stuff is also a good bet, but don't func_wall your big, vis-blocking buildings!

Hope helps, sorry if I'm being redundant--I feel like I'm beating a dead horse talking about compile times and r_speeds :)

If the woman doesn't want the child, she can abort it without the consent of the father (after all, she's the one carrying it). But if she does want to keep it, the father will have to pay child support etc.
Interesting, but still besides the point. The father doesn't have to undergo all the bodily changes and risk death to give birth.
