all the questions got answered but...
carving out anything is not a very good idea, it creates leaks and invalid structures. Use the clip tool instead.

game_player_equip, smartedit off, weapon_glock 5 i THINK.
it works with
weapon_deagle
weapon_usp
weapon_p228
weapon_fiveseven
thats the one i tested

I had that problem(first one) when i ran cs directly from hammer, try ticking "do not run game" and then go in and create a lan game with that map.. takes alot longer but it works anyway :)

OK
The button
Delay before reset means how long it takes before you can press it again, you have set that to -1 which means inifinity. Set it to 0.1 or 1 or something low.
Toggle shouldnt be flagged if the switch itself is not going to be triggered.

The light
The only problem is Custom appearance: Blank, change it to normal.

Well, JB, thats were your wrong, the armoury_entity only contains SMGS, rifles, shotguns, equipment. No handguns... I decompiled the aim_map_usp to have a look, it uses a totally non-making-sence system of game_equips and things like that. The equips target the weapon:
Ammo_45cal or something like that, which still doesnt make very much sence!
Stupid counterstrike...

Have you read the setting up a mod tutorial? do that.
Anyway, you need to change the libllist.gam file so that it says your mods name, the starting map[, the trainmap, etc.

Press the object/prefab, open texture application tool, and press C(center) or Fit.
Texture one face(side) by opening the texture application tool and pressing the 'desired'(lol) side.
Then browsing for textures
then apply.

about the r_speeds: Recommended R_speeds is 600 for multiplayermaps, your runs on 300. thats very good. if you didnt understand that ;)
Someone, cant remember who, has a problem with 2300 in r_speeds...

Most of the servers are very asocial, you dont talk to anyone, unless its like:
"OMG HAXXOR NOOB ASS Fedit"... You get the point.
But some are really fun, with even teams, no whiners, and no bullys lol

Huh?
You mean, a bsp file?
if so place the .bsp file in $sierra/half-life/valve/maps for halflife and half-life/cstrike/maps for cs.
If you have a rmf file or map file, open them in worldcraft/hammer and press f9.
