OK, first of all, if r_speeds lag a map, it will have nothing to do with what kind of internet you have. And if someone is lagging because of slow internet and not r_speeds, then they will probably lag on a bunch of other stuff too.

How do I batch sompile? because using Q tools, I need all the free computer power I can have, running Worldcraft duribng the compile process slows down the compile process.

How did you come across TWHL? What's your story everyone?

My story:
I had no idea how to put a sky in a map, I was forced to make maps that looked horrible, substituting skies for cheesy fences etc. I googled for Worldcraft sky, and a few websites later found TWHL, and then, HEY! You can submit maps here! I joined and planned to submit a few maps and leave, but I found it more "advantagible" to stay.

Compiling de_full_city right now. Its gone through some DRASTIC changes. Light posts (duh), glow sprites under each light post and a light under each light post(will be a NIGHTMARE for vis), a night environment, a new sky, the bomb target is the vending area in the middle of the big intersection and when the bomb goes off soda cans fly everywhere (he he), and I added an indoor room (enterable via ventelation shaft) with a reflective floor. Probably some other changes that I didn't take note of but I can't remember them all right now

Ive seen open maps with high r_speeds lag me before, if the level lags, it will lag for me too. Ive seen it done before and there is nothing wrong with this level. So get the original map so I can prove ou wrong and that the map doesn't lag.

So wait, let me get this strait, if you have a big block, just a normal cube, And you get a cube half the size of the bigger one and put it IN the bigger one. Which do you select to activate the carve? Big or small?

Not like I'm putting that much work into the newer version of full_city (for cs this time) but I think its looking just as good as any other map I've made (maybe i'm so skilled now that I don't need to work much to make a map look good, ooooo ahhhh)
Anyway, the map will have gone through some drastic changes when I release it as de_full_city, things including:
-Street lights
-(maybe) a night environment or somewhat dark environment(so I can use the street lights)
-add back old city map style of being able to walk into a building. (I'll only have one walkable building and that will only be a room and the first floor)
-some other stuff that I havent thought of yet.

I'll get some screenshots very soon, don't know why I want to preview this map, but then again, I previewed ca_the_towers, why not preview this?

Put a path corner on the bottm and another on the top. Check the properties of both path_corners and make them say this:
For the bottom one- name = 1
next stop target = 2
for the top one- name = 2
next stop target = 1
For the train itself set the properties- first stop target = 1
name = anything
Now make a button target near the train and set it to trigger the name of your elevator

P.S. you dont always need to name path_corners 1 and 2 and so on, thats just what i use.

Actually, if you set a func_illusionary to volumetric light, its acts as water (funky), well at least for me it does. But I use Worldcraft, maybe thats not in Hammer.

My answer to both of them is aug, looks great. Its also has great accuracy and you can zoom in, what does an M4A1? A silencer, oooo, and it even make the accuracy on it worse( contrary to popular belief the silencers in cs actually DO make your weapons less accurate, the crosshairs get bigger, therefore less accuracy)

How are you guys modeling? Are you using Milkshape? Because, from the pictures, it looks like modeling is a lot like mapping. You build a basic structure then texture it right? then you move it around on the screen for the animations? Or is it more complicated than that?

Go to www.amxmod.net look though the plugins, they have a ton of awp banning plugins. All from your basic not-allow-buying to slapping-someone-to-5-hp-when-they-buy-an-awp. Is all good!
