is it any good? Do I need a really good pc to play it?
I want to make a map of the Iranian Embassy Siege for cs, but unfortunately I do not have enough resources to do this, I mean I would need a proper layout of the building, I watched a documentary of the SAS engagements some time ago and I saw a good portion of the building there, but still It would be very hard. So yeah, I just threw this idea out here, If anyone of you wants to take up the challenge, you're free to take this idea!

Hi guys! Is there anyone here into music with some experience into headphones? Atm I'm thinking of buying a nice stylish pair of headphones for my mp3 + PC, but I'm not sure which brand is the best. I am looking for something with a medium price, between the margins of ?30-?60 pounds, not too expensive like studio stuff, but not too crap either. I have been looking at some of the skullcandy headphones and I like some of their wacky and cool designs, but I'm not going for them straight away.

worry about food? not at all. Throughout the 40 hours it took in my first play-through I had the food hud icon come up only twice.
It's simple really, When U need any of the three, it displays a notification and you will have it on your hud, but you will usually just run into random beds, water and food constantly along the way so you will rarely actually have to search for it.

Hm, I've always been wondering how that game worked. Do people even play it? I mean I know there are dedicated communities for goldsource, and there are many who play source mods and games, but I haven't really heard of any hl1 source mods or communities.
My fallout new vegas on xbox360 hasn't crashed once during the 50 hours of playing, but then again I have to put up with minimum graphics and insanely long loading times.
By the way guys, when you happen to run across Black Mountain Radio signal, listen to it for a while, it's really funny :D.
Found this annoying bug which you guys probably have noticed as well. I was in the Lucky 38 Casino in New Vegas, and my companions were told to wait outside. When I was done, I went outside, forgot to tell them to follow me, and went on to the next area. When I realized that I had forgotten to tell my companions to follow me I went back to the previous area where they had stood, and they were now gone. So I loaded a previous game, and they had disappeared from that save aswell. I had to go back quite a bit to get my companions back. Annoying!That's annoying, I always forget my companions when I'm there. To solve this: If you still have their perk they're waiting in the same area, but if you don't, they go back to the very place they met you.
I like the layout, but ofc to make sure It is balanced and works properly, you will have to actually test the map with a group of dedicated people. Also I cannot say much about the brushwork and the texturing since you haven't fully textured your map or included all the objects yet. If you want serious feedback here you will need to first finish it and then let us check it out.
Yes man is way better, not that I can say I know what happened with mr. house, but the end was just so awesome. Get the boomers help too, for me they flied over the dam with a massive plane and dropped a couple of carpet bombs on it xD.
Edit: My second character is an asian ninja with a mohawk. I'm putting points in sneak, melee and unarmed :). I'll try to get the chinese stealth suit from the ncr dam when I get the chance.
I went to the north gate where The Kings hang out, robbed the plasma weapon store, killed the king of The Kings and shot my way through all of the security into New Vegas. Awesome. And the security inside New Vegas doesn't seem to mind. Got a bad set of Karma tho, but I haven't realized what it does yetWhy did you do that? The kings leader is a very nice guy and gives you the best companion in the game - Rex, the robotic dog of pure awesome. He makes me lol everytime I talk to him.

You can get 20 per level? How? I have a character with 10 intel AND the perk, and I only get 17.Fail, I had 7 intel and perk on previous char and got 17. Your char must be broken.
Skals I think that perk only gives you a better chance at crits, you don't get five points worth of luck in other luck related rolls.Yes I know this.
well there are two perks for my knowing that make you faster. First one is free perk at the start of game, +1 agility but more limb damage, and the second one I know is intense training, put a point of it for agility and you will run faster. You don't have to get intense training since there are many more appealing perks, but if you come to a level where you don't have any appealing perks at the moment, get that.

I put 5 in everything, and spent the 5 extra points to raise strength by 2 (more space, better melee damage, I'm making a melee char) and 2 points in agility (for a perk later on and faster movement + better sneak) and 1 in charisma, I find speech challenges useful. In my last play through I put an additional point in luck but I found out this was bad since you can get a perk equivalent to 5 point of luck for your crits but it doesn't go over 10. Perception helps you see in the dark hence it is also useful for me and endurance helps over all. Intellect increases the skill points per level you get, to a max of 20, that is if you also get the perk that increases them per level.

You can run faster, Agility affects your running speed, and you can increase it with perk. Although I guess it's nowhere near as handy as the oblivion system.
I just finished new vegas. The ending was epic. Especially the part where the robot tries to tell you something xD. At the end I killed caesars legion commander and started talking to NCR commander, at which point said he found me very impressing, I replied with something like "have you ever seen an army of securatrons?" and the door bursted open behind him and like 100 securatrons come out of nowhere. that was pretty epic :D.

How the hell do you always end up acquiring these amazing shots? Do you have a deviant art account?
have you checked for problems in your map? Use the hammer feature and you might find the invalid face. Have you tried searching for Face 4112 or tried to find any dodgy looking brushes in your map? This error is to a single face only, Most likely you have a brush in your map with an invalid face or some similar error, when you find the brush delete it and remake it. If you can't find it and your map isn't too big you might as well start over again.
My latest issue? Assassinating the president... I'm set up, but I can't get close without the NCR raping me...Lol I had a mission given to me by the NCR to protect the president and I had to kill one Caesars legion sniper dressed up as an NCR guy xD. Nice to see how these quests go together.
As for my progress so far? Well I got the remnants armour set and Oh, Baby!, and story wise I killed Mr house because the NCR asked me to, defended the NCR president but the fucking quest bugged out and all of them are still running in panic and I get no progress 10 hours after still, and I killed caesar myself just for fun without even a quest lol. I also killed great khan leader while he was sleeping but for their own quest (lol) and they still like me. I'm mostly good karma, and oh yeah, I don't really like NCR but I killed house cause he told me to kill the brotherhood... fuck that!
The oddest thing right now however is how I told everyone to act. I told the khans to defend the NCR Dam, I told the brotherhood of steel to defend the NCR dam (ncr agreed to both) and I told the Enclave to defend the dam... It's the worst combination you can get haha all of them hate each other. But also I teamed up with Yes Man! so now he told me to blow the dam up myself, haha! I duno what to do now!

Really? I never got to do that! Well there is always the easy way to get past them, run like hell, or if you don't want to die, you can go to the casino, it is very very easy to win massive amounts of caps in all the casinos. Just buy 1000 chips and roll away the slot machine with max bid (200). If you fail load your save and try again. One time I got 2 7-7-7's in a row, which gave me 6000 tokens each! But I got banned from the casino lol.

I found this bad boy near a dead super mutant (I love the name of this wep ;D) It's the strongest melee weapons in the game and it is almost as fast as the fire axe! 138 dps ;D
I'm loving all the melee weapons since they are so easy to kill things with. I have the chainsaw too! But I still have to find Knock-Knock, the unique fire axe of pure win.

Btw right now, im playing new vegas, and I just have to tell you guys whats happening...
I entered this vault, called Vault11... I went all the way to the bottom and found this console which needed a security key. After searching the entire vault I found it and then inserted it into the console. What happens then? The fliping desk in the office i'm in raises and opens up a place called "The sacrificial pit" WTF? So I go inside, and open the door. It's a long tunnel with light at the end of it, I slowly approach it while hearing a voice in the background go "go towards the light, the light is good!" So I do so, the closer I get the whiter the screen goes. It goes completely white for a moment but then it goes back and it turns out they're just a bunch of projectors. So I go into the next room which is completely blank but has a screen on the wall and a chair in front of it, the voice tells me to sit down. So I do so. It tells me my entire life and explains that I might be upset that I was chosen as a sacrifice. It then tells me to close my eyes, I don't really do it, but what happens then is the wall opens up with about 15 robots behind it and rape the shit out of me. I'm gona try to find out if there's more to this place than that.

Hey hunter, haha you got attacked by nightstalks in a cave, but you have no idea how oh shit you will go when it happens to you in a desert.
I was walking along the desert during night time, it was very dark and I could barely see shit. Suddenly I see a red marker, so I run towards it... All I know is I got gang raped by a pack of 6 nightstalks, young and old at the same time (I was lvl 4 lol).
On a side note, have you guys fought these bad boys?
They're called Cazadors, and they're ten times stronger than anything i've fought in the game (Besides brotherhood of steel) and that includes nightstalks. These guys have three times the health of a supermutant in the game, and they kill me in like 2-3 hits, me having a +7 DT and lvl 15 char. They are also uber fast, they fly at you in no time, which makes them very very deadly. I stumbled upon 4 of them in a Fiend camp, how did I kill them? Camp on top of a hill while I shoot at them for a couple of minutes till they die.
Btw, can anyone tell me where I can find the uber awesome granny? lol. I also seem to have lost rex as my companion, even though the courier robot who I fixt still seems to think he is in my party, Ill do the rex quest to fix him, hopefully that will work.

I've got the xbox version. Don't mind lack of graphics, my pc wont be good enough to hand them, and i'm not getting new one for some time.
I think fallout new vegas is way better than fallout 3, and the only reason being the hardcore mode. It does have some minor improvements over all as well, the monster AI is better, the game is more fun and you can't just hoard heavy armor straight away from the start, you gradually find better and better items.
I've enjoyed my first 6 hours of fallout: new vegas, but wild wastelander perk has made my experience so much better.
First thing from this perk I found was a bettered fridge in the middle of the wasteland, looking like it survived an atom bomb blast, but it has the skeletal remains of an adventurer inside it, along with a Suave gambling hat. (get the reference yet? - Indiana Jones.)
Second thing I found quite amusing was being attacked by demonic grannies from hell armed with rolling pins.
There's many other fun stuff I haven't found yet too, But I know some events have also transformed for me, like the quest where the ghouls get blasted into space (or into ground), All the shiny guys companions turn into the aliens from the movie "Mars Attacks":

If you're seeking protection on the internet, this is what I can advise: Disable avast web shield and instead install the Noscript add-on, I believe the same one works for all browsers, just Google it. I'm using Noscript for firefox and it helps a lot, it blocks every single script on any page you visit, and allows you to enable them or leave them on thereafter, so when you run into a virus pop-up of some sort, it is automatically blocked like everything else unless you enable the virus script.
It is also helpful for individually disabling things like annoying adds or any other scrips on pages you visit.

download vhe 3.4, put it in the right folder. Then download vhe 3.5 and insert it into the same folder, make sure it over writes the old .exe file. Get the latest .fgd and compiling tools (shlt or vhlt) and put them into the right directories. Now launch your hammer 3.5 (which is still inside the same vhe folder, you can shortcut to it if you wish.) and you will see models inside the editor.
