D'you know "The Arrival" another film about aliens thinking that mankind doesn't deserve to live on earth.
For political edjucation, I suggest reading the three books of Michael Moore. Very interesting point of view.

I bet we all will die from Windows2010 and the cooperation with intel (TCPA). The ones who survive will be killed by misguided mini atomic bombs or something like that. And if that ain't enough, the American will at last really land on the moon and install a huge laser canon will grill the earth and dry out all oceans. :zonked:

I belive, that if you want to interrest someone in your coopmapping project, you should name some features, guide lines etc. Tell us what the map is supposed to look like, will it be SP or MP, will the be a story if so tell a bit of it. and so on. otherwise all you get will be "i would, but i ain't sure"

sentences.txt won't be an obstacle either.
first you create some new sentences in the sentences.txt. then you create some scripted_sentence ents set the sentences you want and link them to your monsters. last step: start the map and listen to them. :P

The spirit dlls aren't bigger than a megabyte, that won't hurt anyone since you are allowed to include them to any mod/mappack etc. (afaik)

What a great idea of mine, hu? Well, the basic purpose of this thread is to be a platform for expressing political oppinions, making statements and discuss current and former policy. Since I'm not good at starting a discussion, I will just give some proposals.
  • US "war on terror" policy
  • terroristic acts and its consequences
  • government influencing newscasts (tv, radio, internet infomation etc.)
  • blah blah blah
Hm, I hope we will have some heated debations here.

Someplace Else! great "mod", only one map and more story than many other mods.
Poke646! Term (the guy who made it) got a diploma for it.
TS is the best MP mod. Great coding, awesome maps and excelent slowmotion.

My first map I was proud of, contained a g-man, an scientist, a crowbar and the egon weapon. in the middle, there was a big leak and i used decals put lights on the walls.

How old are you ieatmonkeychow? Just stand up against your parents and tell them that the computer is the most sensible animal in the world and it needs at least 23 hours of activity each day 'cause otherwise it'd die away from lonelyness. :)

Issues rocks! The map with all those funny modem messages (forgot the author's name) is just plain fun. The guy also made a one-map-mod ... so good.
Invasion is cool too, especially the end seq is better than some films. :)

use func_wall_toggle and trigger_multiples inside and outside the area you want to shoot out of. if you enter this area, the trigger deactivates the walls if you leave it, the the other trigger switches them on again.

do you any strangely deformed brushes or brushes that intersect in strange angles? this seems to be a clipping bug, they often appear when you build weird structures/brushes.
