Which one is your house?

The Great Corkscrew looks way taller when you look at it from eye level.

There's a curious looking tower to the southeast, near a village. Who lives there?

Atom: Portal placement ignores height. He's only telling you to dig deep so that you're able to tunnel/travel to your intended coords with less effort. You can go just fine without digging down if you want, but you'll have to traverse much more hostile terrain. By digging down, you're just tunnelling under everything.

I've started a less ugly house, but it's behind a dirt wall to cover its unfinishedness. It should be finished sometime this weeks, if homework allows it.

The problem is when you wait more than 5 seconds, or when the program shows it for no reason because it loads completely in half a second.

I sometimes forget what I was going to do.

My latest incursion to the world of mods was RedPower + Computercraft + Railcraft. Sadly RedPower was abandoned, but I think having CC or maybe CC+RC would be real neat. They probably need a bigger server, though.

Welp, it looked like the other parts.
the amount of required disk space for hosting the render is no joke.
About how much is that? I have unlimited hosting space, maybe we can arrange something.

I forgot to ask, did you keep the previous world file? Would you put it up for download if you do?

You really like not to get the point, so let me put it in pictures. I am complaining about the dickhead that did this in the last map:

We were starting to have that in the current map too, but since I said this it's been covered up or terraformed on.

You play however you like, however this is a multiplayer server and some common courtesy rules apply. Mine every block down to bedrock if you want, as long as you keep it within your own land or in a way that it doesn't bother other players (like in the pictures above) or deplete some resources almost completely within reasonable distance to other players (also like in the pictures above). The pictures of course don't say who did it, but since you had a glass skyscraper and Nina had a MASSIVE sand and glass castle, it would be a natural assumption that it was you guys that did it. If it wasn't you, I'm not too proud to accept my assumption was wrong and I apologise.

If it wasn't Stojke and Nina, this is to whoever did it.

Play fair. That is our only request, and it goes for everyone. I do :)

[edit] The old render is still up for anyone to see for themselves. But I still ask - Atom, when is the next render scheduled?

You can miss the thing, if you fall into one of the many pits on the way to Volpe's house :P

Nina: You were the one with the massive sand castle, it's a natural assumption that it was you who took all the sand from the world.
Now that I've remembered my Minecraft password I might actually join the server one of these days.
You should have left it as 12345. :P

Dude that sucks. I ran it just fine. Hopefully they'll release a fix for it so you can join us.

I'd like to make a formal request here to Stojke and Nina to please stop taking ALL the sand there is and leaving behind unsightly holes all over the place. I fell in a few already. If you want to take the sand, at least refill the pits with dirt. If you want to take ALL of it, take it from the far lands or something.

I'm asking with plenty of time in advance so that what happened in the last world doesn't happen again. It ruined all the beaches and depleted all the sand from the world, leaving none for anyone else that needed some.

I may be wrong, it could very well be CSG, not BSP.

The -wadautodetect parameter only discards Hammer's list and only lists the wads you actualy used in the map, but doesn't wadinclude any.

There should be a wad.ini or maybe wad.cfg where you list all the names of the wads you used and the ones you want wadincluded. Instructions are in the ZHLT help file, but it was something like this:

In wad.cfg you add the following:

mymapwads
{
some_wad_file_you_used_in_your_map.wad
someotherfile.wad
include your_custom_wad.wad
}

Format may not be quite right, check the format of the entries already in the file.

Then you call csg.exe with the -wadconfig parameter:

csg.exe -wadconfig mymapwads

This will again ignore Hammer's list of wads (which always is ALL the wads you have in Hammer, not the ones you actually used in that map) and use the wads you listed there.

I still advise you to look it up in the ZHLT help file, I'd do it myself but I don't even have Hammer or the compile tools in this computer.

There is a parameter you use with vbsp, it's like vbsp -wadinclude Nameofconfig, where Nameofconfig is something you set in an .ini file in the ZHLT/VHLT directory.

Obviously Machinima’s legal team would argue for fair use and the courts would have to look at the case (...)
Fair use is only ever valid if the works are not used to gain profit. Machinima is a company, and as such, has to survive by making profit off something. Profit is made, so I just voided your fair use argument. I'm sure any informed lawyer could come up with this and more in five minutes.

Your intentions may be legitimate and you may indeed be a naive and misguided producer, but this looks more like a plead. I am getting tired of reading you giving long, vague answers to questions that require a sentence at most. You may be serious, but you're not being professional. Get down to business already, do what you're supposed to do, but stop wasting everyone's time with unclear answers.

This is when mentioning the Prey app seems to be a good idea.

I was thinking maybe you can install it remotely, if you can do it like you say, but I remembered it needs some config before it's linked to your account. It's one of those things you should install BEFORE getting your stuff stolen :P

Still, you have enough proof to go to the police, don't you?

Navigation and presentation are definitely in need of a deep psychological analysis.

I hope you make it a perfectly functional site without requiring JavaScript. I hate designers that do that. JS is supposed to be an improvement over what's already functional. But, I know you're smart enough to know this.

First picture: Great shot. Razor sharp focus, perfect bokeh, great colour. A bit soft around the edges, maybe it could improve by stopping the lens down a stop.

Second picture: I can tell you used a different lens here. Focus is good, bokeh not so much, and there's colour fringe all over the place. Sometimes you can alleviate that by stopping down a bit, but it's mostly on the quality of the glass. I like her camera.

Third picture: I suppose it's the same lens. A tiny bit blurred by long exposure time but it's a very good shot.

Fourth picture: razor sharp focus again. Did you go back to the first lens? I think the white balance is a little bit off, and I'm not too fond of the high ISO noise (despite it seeming to have been taken at the same ISO as the others).

As for the other two, they're not at original resolution so I can't look as closely. But the first four, I think you got yourself a good camera.

I have to agree. The general design of the site hinders navigation, discovery and many great features are hidden away behind bad navigation, sometimes several links deep.
