I got the demo, and I can play it on high at 1024 x 768 with probably about 10 - 15 FPS.
I left it on high but turned the res to 800 x 600, not I'm getting probably 3 times that.
Only problem is, I can't get passed the second load, it always crashes.
Would have more of a better opinion if it wasn't for that.

The model limit is FAR from 18 models, unless it's a big map with a bunch of func_walls, ect.
However, if it was a model limit, you wouldn't even be able to play the map.
Try running full VIS. Maybe because VIS is acting weird, it's not rendering a tree you're supposed to be able to see. Happened to me once.

@Dave: Sure is. Any digital camera that looks like that, and doesn't have a detachable lenses (of course it's not) is garbage, and can't even compete with SLR cameras.
