I'm so uptight about my food, that I refuse to eat anything below 300$ [Insert food representation here], and one day, I decided to try eating a piece of toast. It tasted terrible, I didn't realize just how bad it was until I tried it. Why did I try it? Well, because I knew it wouldn't taste as good as my usual meal!
If this is real, than I don't understand how you can't afford a decent camera.
If it's not, then that's a comparison that gives me a headache. I like toast!

My camera takes good detail photos, but it often sucks at color. The above dandelion flowers are a lot more greenish in the original photos, and I wanted to highlight the beautiful yellow I really see.

Also, some effects applied to some photos are just experiments to see how others like them. I somewhat do. I want some opinions :).

[EDIT] Made some more photos today:

Sounds like your cpu doesn't have enough to push vrad. Happens on my comp all the time. Im on a AMD Athlon x3 3ghz, with 4 gigs of ram.
Sorry, that's not a valid explanation. It only has to take longer on slower processors, but not crash due to lack of power.

So for some time I'm having this absolutely frustrating problem with vrad.exe: it stops compiling when it's about to finish.
It only happens on bigger maps, but I used the cordon tool and it still does that.

I'm trying to complete the work on gm_abysslift, Sunday making the first "test" compile after quite some time, and it worked. The second compile, after just adding a npc_pigeon, it refused to compile!
Then, I thought, let's test it on only one core. And it compiled. Next time, it didn't. It kinda randomly compiles, when it wants, but it does that rarely.

Vrad.exe stops using the CPU when it has consumed about 960-970 RAM memory, although plenty of memory remains free(about 1,2-1,5 GB).
What seems to be the issue? This problem drives me crazy, I've encountered it several times on other maps too, and only compiled them "by luck".

Add to all that having to kill hammer, SDK and Steam everytime I kill vrad.exe. Else, when I try to compile again I get the foolish Steam Startup error -_-.

The name of the thread is "Post your photos", not "post your photos after you studied photography for a year".
Sure, Psilous's image is... meaningless...but that doesn't mean he can't post and we can't comment on that.

If we prohibit(we can't, but members will be shy to post if they see point-and-shoots are not appreciated) point-and-shoots, we're taking the fun away from this thread. Seriously.

There needs to be some sort of balance so that a person with 10 kills and 1 death having a 10 K/D ration doesn't beat a person with 1000 kills and 250 deaths having a 5 K/D ration
Another factor, time, is needed for this. And that just makes the things a lot more complicated.

But then, having a brave player that gets in the front of the line, makes a lot of kills but he also is being killed would make your algorithm unfair again.
The situation you're talking about would only be fair in respawn mode.

in Hammer 3.5 crashes when opening a .rmf Post #293688
As stated in my latest journal, I've reinstalled Hammer 3.5, installed The Compilator, HlFix and SHLT 3.9.
I reopened an old map I quit developing in 2007 due to some problems, a remake of assault. It would have been called cs_market_assault, but now I'm abandoning the idea of this being a counterstrike map. It's way to modified and has way too many routes encouraging camping to have a fast, funny and efficient gameplay.
Instead, I want to apply some modifications and optimizations for transforming it into a HLDM map.

2 days ago, after putting the map in a huge box(the map was left uncompleted, with a lot of holes) just to see if it works and to re-explore it ingame(compile time: only 15 minutes!), I saved it and closed hammer. It was late and I was tired.
Today, when I wanted to reopen the rmf, hammer just crashes. It won't open the .map file also. I tried compiling the .rmf with hlfix to a .map, and it still can't open it.

What seems to be the problem? Suddenly Hammer decided to prevent me ever seeing this .rmf again?

Your idea Daubster is wonderful, but it takes more time than a month(not that it should, but it seems laziness is at the order of the day in everyone's life nowadays). Even I'm not really certain of my free time in the next months.

For wasting our times on the server in a more entertaining way, I propose the SuperHero mod, or the Respawn mod(I think both are amx plugins).
