Also, it's a gas, making it harder to handle.Knowing the fact that it's lighter than air, you can manage the handling pretty well... Umm, at least in small home experiments
I think I want to join too :glad:.if you actually release anything i will personally chop off my right testicle.Hey ManlyStump, I think I want to join the project after all
Ok, let me give you some extremely objective hindsight.I see where this is going. I never imagined people being that arrogant. So are you afraid that he will succeed? Will it be a pain in your ass if he succeeds and the mighty creators of 6D failed?
Once upon a midnight dreary there was a mod named 6D. It had Daubster, TWHL's top programmer, myself on all graphics and mapping, and Grim on the music. Together we were the legion of doom making things awesome. Daubster hit a bunch of snags coding telekinetics and basic physics into HL, ultimately things were far too tricky given the HL code is a pain in the ass in some parts of it. The HL code is balanced very delicately and messing with it, well, if you have played Flat-Life you've probably experienced some nasty glitches and crashes. Myself doing models, I couldn't get new grunt models or scientists working. It was also difficult to map with incomplete code. After 2.5 years, the project fell apart outright and was discontinued. If we couldn't get the simple things working, how are you going to get all of those complicated source things in goldsource.
Wait, i have a 'writing style'? :/Everybody does, but something felt strange reading those lines. So I clicked the name :P.
It would be pretty practical and home-made. Get a cheap camcorder with night mode, some infra-red diodes, some other easily obtainable items, stick them together on a headstrap and you've got yourself some night-vision goggles.Oh, then you mean something like this?
I also expect that your target audience is near zero. But if the mod does finish(even if only a few maps are released), a good part of half-life mappers and nostalgics WILL SURELY play this.
You are taking a new game, coating it in rust, and trying to pass it off as something good.Steampunk ftw.
Let's stay in the boundaries of practical, possible, home-made experiments.
I also discovered a weird, but fun, way to make KNO3(potassium nitrate). It's a medieval method. Smelly one I guess :D, as it involves animal waste. But I'd do it our of curiosity. KNO3 combined with sugar is an excellent rocket fuel(actually I wouldn't do this, but KNO3 is very hard to find).
Eh... no. Graphics cards aren't advanced enough to produce such lighting in real-time, whether they get their instructions through DirectX 11, 10, 9, OpenGL or anything else.10,9
That couple just used it as an excuse to get on the news.
I made that one. ://facepalm
Map an old, decayed envorinment (lab/house/ etc.)is kinda like the "destruction" compo....
I don't think I will ever use ZBrush for high poly modelling ever, lack of mechanical control for me.Isn't high poly modelling available in most of the 3D editing programs? Blender has it :D. But in blender it's used more for generating normal maps than actually making a high poly model..
