Change your prop_statics that it's talking about to prop_physics, with the motion disabled flag ticked if necessary.

I think it's a prop_dynamic, with a nodraw-covered func_button in front of it, the func_button toggles the sprite color and plays the button push animation.

There are multiple things that can cause this problem.

First, check Console for any errors about static props using physics models, etc.

If no errors are present, in the model properties, set Start Fade Dist to -1 and End Fade Dist to 0.

These should solve your problem.

That 733 ain't gonna cut it. You'll need 256 RAM as well, so that kind of eliminates the RAM and the Graphics Controller from HL2's range.

No clue if Intel Extreme cards are any good, but I doubt they're as good compared to a nice ATI or nVidia.

They help, yes - though it's not everything. Proper hint brush placement is probably the major helper in big_city2.

If it runs on your computer fairly well, it should run on everyone else's computer, correct. Their Framerate, though, depends on their hardware.

Stops loading, eh? Try running with -console and see if there are any error messages. And make sure your player spawn is above the ground a little. If that fails, post your new compile log.

I can't send you any of my maps seeing as I'm in school at the moment - and I don't have copies of them online.

Weeeeird. Might be the specific model tex, or you're using an editor or /dev tex. Some weird things happen when you use these texes incorrectly - I had a /dev tex of some sort on a dustcloud and it turned yellow like the nodraw tex and dropped FPS to about 8 ;

The compiler saves a BSP file, which you indeed should run in CS, or HL, depending on what game it is for.

You can use textures from multiple wadfiles as long as they reside in the proper directory - cstrike for CS and valve for HL.

point_camera, setup to move along a series of path_corners to make it look like the player is standing up.

You may want to teleport the player to a monitor room somewhere, then run teh camera, then teleport 'im back, might be easier that way.

Yeah, your signs in the pics I've seen/map I played were a bit out of scale - Don't round your sign brushes to 32x or something, make 'em 64x32 or something.

Probably not, the crashing errors would most likely be due to bad memory or an insufficient processor.

Afaik no, but you have to use a model decompiler and rename all the SMDs so they've got the same names as the anims in the model you're replacing. Then run them through studiomdl again.

Man, you're working with an old editor. If you want to make HL2 maps get the Source SDK from Steam or get Hammer 3.4 if you want to make HL1 maps.

There is a TexInfo limit for maps - This is pretty high and unless your map is huge you shouldn't hit it or go over it.
