yea well if the one that wins doesnt have any good ideas maybe this could be a suggestion, with obsticle couses, or training type obsticle courses that help you get your aim up and better skills, I could make an AWESOME map...

Man ive played half life for about 4 years now or whatever but I have finaly realized what makes this game so fun. Obsticles!... A lots of people make simple obsticle cources that are easy as crap like jumping over stuff and climbing a ladder, but in half life, there are very complicated and fun ones that we go threw over and over and continue to enjoy them. A good idea for the next compo in my opinion would be to make an obsticle course that could get as hard as it possibly could but it would still need to be possible to do. Im sure there would be GREAT entrys if people tryed and i definetly would...

A lot of you have asked how to get a picture that you paste in wally to convert its colors onto the pallete. I found out that if youfirst save your picture into art and than copy and paste it into wally, it will work!

I had a func_track_train in my map, and it worked fine for a while, but I found that i had a leak and it says that it is the funck track train leak. I only have one track_train so im sure it is it but even when ive deleted it, the leak is still there. Any suggestions?

Ok, sorry. I will type correctly, but please help me. Ive made a func_tank of a small gun that shoots at me. I have placed it by a human grunt. I was wondering how to get it to where if i kill the human grunt, it would make the func_tank stop shooting.

ive made a funk tank that shoots at you and i was wondering how i would make it to were i could shoot a guy standing near it and it would make the gun quit working or where i shoot the gun and it explodes and cant shoot at you anymore. PLEASE HELP ! ! !

i dont have hammer and i cant install half life correctly because of my crappppppyyyy comp so cant you please tell me what its called for shells .my comp hardly allows me to even create maps and it wont let me view the files. it would help me so mutch if anyone new of a website that showed everything like all the models sprites and stuff.

thx a lot man! but i guess you cant get the env shooter to move with the gun so i guess the best thing to do is put it right where the origin is
Wow ive gotten pretty good at mapping maybe ill try to compile this map and put it in the map vault (sp map) :nuts:

i know how to make a real good tank and everything i just wanted to ask two things.
?#1- How do you make the gun shoot shells out of its side when fired?,, i know the shell model name, but i just wanted to know what to use to be triggered to shoot out the shells(ive done it with gibs b4 but i forgot how)
?#2- How do you give your gun sound, i got the sounds but what field do you put the name in? -=++THX A LOT IN ADVANCED++=-

yea ive tryed to view them but they arent in the pak i cant find them anywhere, and when i try to reinstall half life, my comp with half life doesnt have internet so i cant upgrade it... back in the old days when i was real young i always had cs and every mod you could possibly think of and i played every day but now my comp is so screwed up i cant even play hl online wtf ??? :x

i have made many tanks mapping but i just wanted to ask for some sounds names that would go good with my tank -its a machine gun and i was also hoping that someone could give me the name of the sprite of mp5 shells,,,(the model name)..i would just view em but my hl isnt installed correctly so i cant -thx a lot in advanced :|

it cant be a sprite, remember those plants from super mario bros 3 that come up outa the pipes and bite you? i was gonna make that-the texture so that it could be animated(plant bighting)masked so u know why and than-a funk train that goes up and down and a multimanager that triggers some trigger hurts :) i realy wanna make him and after i do this one i will than try an dmake the one that shoots fire balls which will take a hell of a lotta triggers. Is there anyway i can just use spirit for this? if so can u gimme a link for it.

in wally i want to create a texture that is animated, and can be masked. I need some help with naming it thow. when i name it {+0plant1 it is masked but not animated and when i name it +0{plant1 it is animated but not masked. Does anyone know how to get it to animate and masked ?

In wally i created a masked texture with the name {cloud. I know everything should work because i just created a different onw be fore that and it worked fine in world craft. When i put this one in world craft, even if i dont use it when i press f9 a warning box appears that says

its not that great of a map thow,, and yes there is a suck thing as game genie look it up in google. Ive been making lots of textures for mario latly in wally :) flanning on making an awesome mario map and submiting it yall just wate ill prolly make a few

i know all that man ive been mapping for a year that was the first thing i learned,,, i think its something in the editor that im doing wrong thow. could someone please tell me what exactly to do to get that color working so i can make some neeto texures. I can get it to work but i have to load a pallette and than all i have are bush colors and the masked texture that i want
(((OH WATE!)))!!! :P i got a better idea.. intstead of loading another pallette, is there any way i can just load that one color and have it work? thanks a lot

Dear mappers of this website,
I was in the game of half life... also known as "IN GAME PLAY" and i decided to consider that my map was seeming to be coming which you could consider quite ediquite to what a real cliff would look life in real life. In life that we live in in other words, so to say i hit my friendly bind key and it was possibly possible for my to possibly hover(what i would call float)...in other terms.,.,.,up to the top of the cliff. While up there"my crazy side took over and i decided to JUMP alllllllll the way off the cliff into the water ...there where i would meet my fish i made out of masked texture... (OH YEA HES A BIG FISH...)look up pictures of alligator gars on google... man those things are in creeks,and i always swim in creeks where bigfoot lives.  when i peeked over the mountain that i had created using world craft editor/vertex munipulation i saw the water and jumped back so far i fell off the other side... I was asstonished to nothice the water wasnt its old jumpy self again and it was cut up into many many more squares to where you could actualy see every bit of the water rather than just the top of he waves... its kind of hard to explain but it also dint look solid at all on the edges it was more of a flashy water look.so i was wondering if you people from this website that i posed on to find out about water that doesnt look right to be able to fix my water that doesnt look right would have possibly been able to possibly lend me a helping hand that would help me with my problem about the water that i was having so i posted a question to see if anyone could helpp... thank you

yea yea teddy join the side with more people ... thats why theres no good maps today... you know the guy that made mario was obviously on shrooms and now its the best game in the world :)
