Cstriker, to say that the 4th dimension (time) is god is actually probably the most intellegent thing I've ever seen you say. Time is indeed a ruler of all things.

That said, I'm not saying you should start praying to time. The religious definition of "god" is utter bollocks. Time is only god in the sense that it is unbeatable.

A good atheist is actually more morally sound than a good non-atheist.

A good non-atheist, for example, a Christian, does good in a bid to get into heaven and escape hell.
A good atheist does good regardless. Does good simply because it's good.

There may be a select few who are nut jobs, but it is blatantly ignorant to put all evangelists into this category.
I was calling the Jesus Campers from the documentary nut-jobs.
Having faith means believing in something without questioning it. I think a healthy dose of skepticism is always a good thing.
For those Christians out there; don't forget another thing you were told from a young age: Listen to doctors.

I'll just leave with this:

Directed at the Christians of TWHL; if you had been born in, for example Mecca to Islamic parents, do you really think you would have ended up Christian?
95% of people who follow a church/holy writing were taught it from a young age, and it continues to baffle me that despite this clear derailment of logic - people continue to follow these writings.

Whether it's a parent who knows no better or a Jesus Camp - they're all doing the same, and to claim that your Christianity is not their Christianity is not as true as you might want to think.
Yes, these people are complete nut-jobs, but more subtle evangelism is just as dangerous.

edit:
For the record, Hitler brought Germany out of the worst economic crisis in the country's history. He was a very skilled leader.
Shame he was also deranged, racist and homicidal.

it's not in any specific order like than, Rimrook.
They shoot scenes that are convenient to shoot. They'll do a location shoot - film all the scenes there, change location, film all the scenes there etc etc.
While 90% of Avatar will have been the one green screen studio, they will have shot all the scenes with particular actors and rigs involved.

Movies have a script and then a shooting script.

Oh sorry Striker, i misread.

by the way,
acting gets better after the first 20 minutes (notice that a lot in movies)
I think it's more about getting "into" the characters, rather than the acting actually getting better. I can think of maybe 2 movies ever that are filmed in the order of the script.

Avatar in 3D.

mind = blown.

Don't expect an intellectual plot; just pure imagination gone wild and sheer entertainment from start to finish, coupled with unbelievably good visuals.

Michael Bay should watch Avatar and resign from film making.

It would be impossible to make a trailer from the footage - it'd ruin it.

You'd have to watch it to understand.

saw Paranormal Activity.

I'll be totally honest, I don't get scared at films. I never have.

This had moments where I was like ohshitohshitohshit.
Very little of the horror is shown on screen; it's very psychological and MUCH scarier for it.

uTorrent for big things, as it doesn't even use a shadow of your system resources and can thusly be left quite happily in the background, as well as having convenient options like "Shut down PC on download complete" which means you can leave a torrent going when you go to bed.

I just use Opera for little things. It's pretty poor at it in comparison to dedicated p2p clients, but for small files it's a lot more convenient to be able to torrent in-browser.

Also, what is with Unbreakable's asplosion?

if I'm honest, I like the last 3 more "normal" locations a lot more than the wacky stuff. It might be the texturing of the big triangles on the ceiling, but something just seems a bit off.

You're all far too cynical.

Girls are great.
I just recently broke up from a long term relationship. Quite a few of you knew about it. Did i mope and lose faith in female kind? Hells no, I went to the pub and got... Well, the pics are further up this page.

The best way to look at it is this -
The majority of us are too young to be thinking about serious relationships; as in spending the rest of you life with someone. Frankly I think people who marry before 23 are bonkers.
Don't get so attached to a girl that when you inevitably break up (and you will; like i said - too young) it destroys your faith in relationships. Sure you'll be upset for a few weeks, but look on the plus side - you get to go on the pull again.
So do.
Get some mates, go to the pub/club and snare a hotty like ashephard has.

Sorry to hear, zeeba.
