errrr....I say some office geek, or nerd who's still lying in a bush having been beaten up by the rest of the bunch...

Or how about Stephen Hawking?

...Well, I mean, he wears glasses - I'm sure they can put him in an orange suit, maybe attatch strings to his limbs like a puppet so the guy can do the stunts, I'm sure they can get a voice ator to dub over his absurdly computerised voice device?!

...You know what, I think they might be on to something big time here! :P

Yep. I guess you can say that is why I hate other 3D Modelling programs mainly because they are so jargonistic and (strange?)

Hammer is the best. Good ol' Valve.

...Oh and ofcourse Bethsedas TES Construction Kit

Max Payne Ed and Unreal Ed are so crap it's unfair. :badass:

I once owned (illegally of course) 3d Studio Max, but somehow it was removed when I had to get my comp fixed due to a worm virus.

I did not know how to use the bloody thing anyway, I mean, as a mapper I thought it would be easy to understand relatively quickly...

Well I don't know what happened about that but I think I'm glad that it's gone :)

in i am searching for the lego.wad Post #30596
I used to LOVE lego! I used to make cable cars that worked on cotton threads, automatic doors inspired by Doom - that worked, this flour grinding thing - that worked - A CROSSBOW (Yes it worked and it had a trigger mechanism - It fired the long lego-technic pieces quite accurately)

I also tried to make a lego gun that fired aa bateries - but it didnt work well

Wow, lego was great! I think it is going crap now though - ever since the evil MegaBlox took over!

Oh, and I had the train set which I'd build all round the house and stuff, under tunnels made of old video cassettes...

Ill shut up now

I really see no need in making a movie out of a game. When you play the game, it is your own movie - dont you 'spose?

Anyway, movies-about-games are generally over-cheesy, OTP about 'special effects (that look so fake that you'd cry) and pathetic actors found only by scaping the inside of a barrel. :

Tomb Raider: Yack! (Ugly game - and no I am not even slightly attracted to the character)

Final Fantasy: Alright, but I really dont think I want to sit through the entire film desperately trying to grasp what's going on...

When I first bought half-life when it came out years ago, I looked at the box to see that WC 2.1 was on it, and it had that statement design your onw worlds for half-life' and I just thought 'wow, I've never heard of such coolness in a first person shooter game before'.

When I started mapping, it didnt occur to me about half-life dimensions and I had absolutely no concept of player scale, so everything was over-large. I also used the carve and hollow tool alot because I thought that you had to! ... Man, those were the days...

FAVOURITE GAMES

Gta (all of em)
Gta Vice City

~ M O R R O W I N D ~
  • Bloodmoon
  • Tibunal
(If you've never played those and used the TES Construction kit, then you are seriously tapped)

I also like playing:

StarCraft
Comman & Conquer (all of em really - I even liked Renegade)
Max Payne (although I havent played that for a while)
Unreal Tournament, 2003, and probably 2004 (when I can be arsed to get it)
Quake 3 Arena
Doom (the first game I adored and still do to this day - without doom, where would we people be?)

And I also like(d) building style games like Sim Games, although they can be mind numbingly dull

Oh and one more thing, my favourite ps games are Tenchu Stealth Assassins 1 & 2, Epidemic (Why I dont know - I think its because It inspires me to map for hl), and I quite like Bushido, also Armoured Core, and all the Mechwarrior series.... I think that's all for now (I think)
