Assasins Creed was good fun, and looked pretty awesome in HD too.
It did get repetative, but it's a good one to pick up now and again and just really enjoy the free-form style of the rooftop sprinting.

play through an episode with the developer commentary and you'll know.

With episodic content, not only can they bring the next few chapters in the story to players more quickly, but they can also update the source engine to keep up with advancing technology and implement it into the next episode without having to affect what has already been released.

if it's a multiplayer map, creating a server is what you need. The "map" command should be used for single player only.

in can you mod with hl eng with only steam? Post #257284
GCFscape is an explorer which can open .gcf (game cache files) which is what steam games store their local content in.

These are, however, completely unneccesary for a mod.

When i was making Hostage Situation, i just copied my mod folder from my WONHL folder into my SteamHL folder and it worked fine. liblist still works, although there is indeed another method of doing it too.

Sundays are HLDM days.
Which day would be best for CSS and TF2 days?
We have 3 servers, remember.

Perhaps a weekly sunday rotation every month?

1st sunday: HLDM
2nd sunday: CSS
3rd sunday: TF2
4th sunday: most popular again

or a different day for each?

Far Cry 2 (pre-ordered, ships the day before release)
Dawn of War 2 (The only good looking RTS title coming out now that we know RA3 will be a pile of shit)
Left 4 Dead (I love Counter-Strike and I love TF2 and this is a merging of their 2 development teams. It can't go wrong.)

also, please dont divert the thread to this matter, but i must ask hl_hotdog. Why on earth would you want to soil a Source game by playing it on a console?

the server will not be passworded. Randoms can join at any point during the game. If they manage to get more kills than the current leader, then yes, they win. Of course, if you keep talk of the prize itself to a minimum on the server, then if a random wins and doesn't know about it, i'll give it to the highest scoring player who actually knows about it.

Several community maps and all the official Counter-Strike: Source maps have properly rendered radar images and location names suchs as "ducts," "back alley," "bombsite A" and several others.
My google search about this matter proved fruitless, so I'm asking for either a link or an explanation of how to achieve this effect. Thanks.

overviews well explained.

the admin plugin I use for the TWHL CSS server is Mani.

It's basically the industry standard of source server plugins and has a ridiculous number of variables so you can set your server up just right.
It also allows some fun things like ranks, betting and that laser thing that shows dead people where they were killed from. All are optional.

but yeah, where is the server hosted?

in How To Get In Mod Post #256472
I'm afraid i don't understand your first question.
As for the sky being solid;
you need to use newer compile tools which can be found here.

if you use Zoners Half-Life Tools, skies will automatically be solid.

It is, however, worth noting that a map loses a lot of realism if the player can touch the sky. Try blocking it off with structures, walls and suchlike.
