can't be - the thing smoothly bulges upward. And only works if you step in the middle, and cushions your fall! Very odd!

Pretty good timing, I have to say. They don't do that for me, but I reckon it has something to do with the 10 second compile times (as opposed to 10 milliseconds, which would be more acceptable). Your ISP might be closing the connection after less than that.

But fear not, for I'm working hard on the new forums, which will rock, and should arrive (in at least functional form) in a couple of days.

Well it's all open for someone to do looks around...

I think they're a combination of func_push, ambient_generic, a trigger, and maybe a couple of func_illusionaries and a multimanager

Anyone know how to decompile the DLL? I need to do a bit o' coding for my mod. And although I know very little about C++ programming, I'm a quick learner, and if it's anything like VB, that'll help, since I know a bit of that.

First, upgrade to Hammer. Then use the FGD that comes with TS - it's in Half-Life s :) Only 3.4 and upwards, though, I think. I'd get 3.5b - I have :)

Try compiling it from advanced mode, instead of -game gearbox on normal mode. That's what I always so. Only use -game ... if the mod isn't listed in the advanced one.

phpBB is cool... but... do you really want to have separate accounts for the forums? And have to log-in separately? etc. Nah!

I'm not planning to use phpBB, just its style of threading (i.e. a topic, with replies all in one thread, readable on one page).

phpBB style: GOOD

Even the default phpBB setup would be preferable to me over the current system. It's not that hard to set up and run and there's a ton of mods and styles for it.
